Great product for the gourmet chef.

My husband bought me the Bamix immersion blender about 1 1/2 years ago. I just love this handy little tool. I like to make smoothies, whip skim milk for low fat treats and make my own dressings and vinaigrettes. That is just some of the uses this blender. It is one of my mainstays of kitchen utensils. We like to go south in the winter for several months and this goes with us as it's so versatile; mashing potatoes, chopping vegetables, making low fat cream style soups, whipping and a number of other uses only limited by your imagination. It's very well built and has some good oomph behind it. Mine has 2 speeds and both are very useful. You can tell by 'touch' which speed to use. The Bamix comes with an instruction manual/recipe book. The homemade mayonnaise recipe is terrific and I never have to worry about running out of it just when I need some for sandwiches, dips etc. The attachments easily pop on and off as needed. I would highly recommend this product. It may be pricier than others such as the Thunderstick but I know I will have this for years and it will last. The extra money is well worth the value received.
