Review: I thought when I purchased the Elite it was going to be a quality product. It was until it started to ware away the material in the "teeth". The motor is powerful enough to mix frozen fruit and ice cubes. I would purchase another one and recomend it...

Review: Good price, but handle broke easily. Chopped up frozen fruit well. Can only recommend if you are extremely careful. I return mine to Costco.

This blender is not built to last and the manufacturer does not honor its warranty

The Bottom Line: Avoid this blender. While it makes great smoothies, it has serious design flaws and breaks easily. Back-To-Basics did not honor its warranty. Be wary of Back-To-Basics products in general.
Review: I like to make fruit smoothies with fresh raw ingredients and ice. My trouble was that my old waring blender had trouble crushing all the ice and making a consistent thick smoothie. My solution was to buy a Back To Basics Smoothie Elite.

The Bottom Line: If you don't mind handwashing your blender and don't pay the typical $50 price tag, this is truly a good, heavy-duty model and a great buy.
