The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line only uses those free address labels that charities send you in their beg letters.
Often have I lamented that there was no way to let the world know of my true feelings for laser printer address labels. But now - at last! - I don't have to keep these feelings secret anymore. I can let you, and you, and also you know exactly how much I like Avery Address Labels. And I will!
I think I originally got these, years ago, to use for printing out labels to send resume packets to prospective employers. But in recent years, I've unwillingly become sort of nomadic, and it's such a pain to keep buying new address labels every time you move, only to have to toss half of 'em before you can use them. So printable address labels are a great solution for whipping up a temporary batch (or for using when paying bills, allowing you to save your cute designer ones for correspondence to people you actually care about).
These are 1" x 2 5/8" labels, basically your standard size address label, and they come 30 to a sheet. My package had 12 sheets for a total of 360 labels, and cost about $8, as I recall. These are formatted for laser printers, although inkjet is available as well.
The package says they're "jam-free guaranteed, with smooth-feed sheets," and while I don't know how you guarantee jam-freeness, I do know that I've never had a problem with these getting jammed or the adhesive paper getting stuck in my printer anywhere. You can run them through your printer a few times, but I wouldn't do it more than two or three times, because eventually there will be some darkening/dinginess on the entire label from the heat and ink residue, which looks gross.
The labels work with the standard 5160 template in MS Word, and it's easy to set up the page with multiple different addresses, or to print just a section if that's all you need. I've always found the results to be clear, permanent, and quite satisfactory in every way that an address label needs to be.
Whether you want an inexpensive way to be able to custom-print professional-looking business labels, or you just want to quickly and easily print out some address labels for yourself, Avery Address Labels are the very best in the whole universe. Seriously! Would I lie about my feelings for labels?
