A Cheerleader's Best Friend

Date of Review: Jan 25, 2000

American Cheerleader Magazine is a great source for aspiring cheerleaders. It provides helpful tips for tryouts and maintaining a spot on a high school or competition team. Tumbling and stunting are not the only topics of the articles. They also mention nutrition, fashion, and beauty tips. It also offers coaches an opportunity to add new cheers and dances to their curriculum. American Cheerleader also gives tips on holding pep rallies and fundraisers for teams. One drawback is the fact that they do not offer any intellectual articles or stories. They assume that because you are a cheerleader, that you do not care about academics. But I have to say that overall, I think that this is a great magazine and recommend it to any coach, cheerleader or someone who is considering cheerleading in the near future.
