First Time Alpine H/U Owner

The Bottom Line: Alpine deserves the reputation it has as a leader in car audio. After all, all they build is 12V products. I would definitely buy again.
After throughly researching the newest head units available I decided on the Alpine CDA-9887. I replaced the factory stereo system in my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that featured the Infinity Gold 6 speaker set up with a 180 watt amp. The CDA-9887 is matched now with 6 Infinity Kappa speakers, Alpine PDX 4.100 amp and Alpine PLT-5 powered sub. The combination in my jeep is sheer pleasure. The CDA-9887 is my first Alpine H/U. I could not be happier with its performance. In about 1 hour I fine tuned all of the many options this H/U has to bring the music to life in your vehicle. I am waiting for my local car audio dealer to get the "Imprint" program to even further tune the CDA-9887.
The unit works well to read my CD's/MP3/4/WMA disc and iPod as well.
If you want an no nonsense, clean, great sounding H/U give the CDA-9887 some consideration. There are cheaper products out there, but if you want to hear music the way musicians intended you to hear it, you can not go wrong with the Alpine CDA-9887.
Could use a USB and SD card interface like other new H/U out there. This would make a great deck, perfect.
