Down the rabbit hole...

Disney's portrayal of Lewis Carroll's famed jewel - Alice In Wonderland! To be honest, this is my favorite of childhood stories, and has held interest still despite my age.
This film is a pure delight of brilliant colors swirling in hypnotic fairy-tale fashion. The animation is imaginative and constantly flowing. The soundtrack is uplifting but mostly of little relevance to the original story. As far as comparison to content between both book and film there is a conflict of interest.
Out of all of the versions of this movie I have seen, none of them quite get the story down just as it was told. In this depiction there is not even a mention of the mouse and his long sad tale, the duchess and the cook have been omitted as well as the gryphon and mock turtle. In their stead the movie plays upon the meeting of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum ( which was not in this story but the second, Alice's Adventures Through the Looking Glass).
The film is however delightful and highly recommended to the child and child at heart.
