RSX - A hard call

The RSX rides on Acura's reputation for producing fine sports cars to drive its sales. While the RSX may have aggressive styling and offer a smooth ride one can easily discern its close relationship with the Honda Civic. While driving an RSX it comes across as underpowered and overly plush. The RSX's F1 inspired paddle shifters failed to supplant the feeling of F1 performance. Like many other car companies attempting to inspire a racing attitude, the Acura does not deliver. However, while the base model RSX may not deliver in these areas the RSX-S does help distance the car from its fraternal twin the Civic. With aluminum-alloy blocks and cylinder heads the RSX-S lightens up while producing an additional 46 horsepower. This power boost is easily discernable from it's less than sporty younger brother. The RSX is by no means a complete loss and what it lacks in sport it makes up in style. The interior features racing inspired bucket seats and a well thought out center consol. The S model comes with a six disc in dash CD changer complimented by a seven speaker Bose system. When considering this car one must ask themselves what they're looking for.
