Best bang for the buck netbook
Pros:
Very light, screen resolution is crisp and clear.
Cons:
Battery only last 2 to 2.5 hours. Upgrading to 6 cell will help though.
The Bottom Line:
Like what I've said, there are other netbook with same specs or even better but this one is best bang for the buck. Cheaper compared with other same specs netbook.

I think all netbooks out there are trying to out specs each other. Acer on the other hand has a good specs plus its cheaper tham most of its competitors namely Asus Eee PC, MSI Wind or the HP mini note.
The price of Aspire One at the time I bought it (2 months ago) was almost the same price as the 7 inch 4GB Asus Eee pc model. The Acer has 9 inch plus 8GB solid state disk not to mention 1GB ram compared to Asus 512mb ram.
Now I heard they dropped the price by around 20 percent due to the fact they released the 120GB hard disk model.
The OEM linux is okay but I am used to XP so Iahd to install an Xp on this one. I also put Office 2007, instant messaging service like MSN, YM, Skype and ICQ. Put in Xlite for my Onesuite voip service, SJ softphone also plus Portsip. I also installed klite codec packs, Firefox 3, IE7, Google Chrome. Adobe Photoshop 9 runs without a problem too with Kasperky anti virus running on the background.
Wifi works like a charm too. Signal is very good most of the time, like a my regular size Asus laptop. I can make voip calls with good quality and the reception is consistent.
The screen is perfect size too for a netbook, not too small but big enough for you to enjoy videos and read text clearly.
The size and weight is another big plus. It is actually lighter than most of its competitors. This is actually recommended for frequent travellers. You can carry this thing in your small sling bag without getting tired even if you carry around it with your the whole day.
If Asus can price their Eee PC like the Aspire One then I might have second thoughts but no its about 20 percent more expensive so I bought and pick this Aspire One.
The only thing Asus has edge is on battery life. I heard theirs can last 3 hours but this Acer Aspire One will only get you 2.5 hours max. 2 if you use wifi a lot and have many applications running at the same time.
