If you like the Harry Potter books, you will love this Newberry Award winner by Madeleine L'Engle.
I read this book at the recommendation of my sister, nemateoyo. She knew I was reading the Harry Potter books and knew I would love this one as well.
A Wrinkle in Time starts with meeting three women, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, who have amazing powers. This story soon jumps into action as the three women take Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin through a tesseract, or wrinkle in time, to where Meg and Charles Wallaces' missing father, Mr. Murry is.
They travel to strange and unusual planets and use special powers that each of them have to find and free Mr. Murry.
I found this book a little confusing as it started, though I couldn't put it down after a few chapters. This book is geared towards about 6th-7th grade reading. It was written in 1962 and won the Newberry Award in 1965.
