Concept great, implementation mediocre (at best)

Date of Review:  Jan 4, 2007
The Bottom Line: I hope some other company (perhaps Panasonic?) will imitate Uniden's Bluetooth integration idea and put such capabilities in a solidly-designed cordless phone.
Review: I must have higher expectations of technologically advanced products than most people -- I'm surprised by the number of people who are very happy with this phone -- so I decided to add a review. Conceptually, the ELBT595 is the phone I've been...

Could be the best home telephone ever . . .

Date of Review:  Feb 16, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you want a truly portable, expandable system that uses your cell phone as "Line 2", this is the system for you.
Review: . . . if you need it's distinguishing design features. If not, look elsewhere. What are the these design features?

Handset - Clamshell Design:
The handsets function as "walkie-talkies" and provide Bluetooth for (eg) wireless...

might want to wait other products...

Date of Review:  Sep 29, 2005
The Bottom Line: wait until someone comes out with a model that actually "works" in the real world
Review: I purchased this phone specifically because of its ability to connect with bluetooth devices...but it just falls short in every area. The handset is a clamshell design; which is just inconvenient (can't put it between your shoulder and chin, can't...

Great Concept, But It Ends There

Date of Review:  Mar 9, 2008
Review: I waited for months for this phone to become available back in 2005 then ordered it two extra handsets - over $500 sunk. It has NO RANGE. The clam shell is not convenient to use in the house. The primary reason I wanted the phone was BlueTooth and...

Great for Home Office

Date of Review:  Jun 8, 2007
Review: Bought from Costco.com for $100 for full time home office. Using BT to link to both my cell phone (Moto Q) and my headset (Moto H700). After I finally received good battery it has worked great. Using BT headset to both talk on cell and land line is...

Hardly a commercial grade product

Date of Review:  Jun 6, 2005
The Bottom Line: Don't Buy!
Review: The idea of being able to use standard cordless (or not) phones around your home to make and receive cellular calls is great as it gives you the convenience of a landline phone at home and the cellphone while on the road. With this, you don't need a...

Don't Believe the Hype

Date of Review:  Nov 4, 2005
The Bottom Line: I would stay far away from this product and Uniden as well. I had high hopes and was more than disappointed.
Review: I bought this phone because of the advanced features. Unfortunately, the CD that came with the phone crashed my WinXP Pro machine during install. After a few hours of failed attempts, I downloaded the software from Uniden's website. That got things...

Don't waste your money

Date of Review:  Nov 5, 2005
Review: Very cheap feel to the phone. Not made very well. The hinge broke after only a few months just from opening and closing the phone. I returned to Uniden for repair. I get a notice from them that due to "physical damage" the warranty doesn't cover...
