Product Description

 
Doctor Roger McPherson tests a new surgical procedure on Harry Benson, a man suffering from violent seizures. The process implants electrodes in Benson's brain that stimulate his pleasure sensors. Benson, however, isn't satisfied with the level of stimuli and escapes from prison, setting off on a homicidal spree. THE TERMINAL MAN was adapted for a 1974 film of the same name starring George Segal.

The Terminal Man Shocks!

The Bottom Line: Medical thrillers teach and terrorize. Crichton does both in a novel that's thoughtful and reflects on human nature - when you get to third reread, that is. Scary!
