Product Description

Personnel: Tori Amos (vocals, Hammond b-3 organ, keyboards); Damien Rice (vocals); Mac Aladdin (guitar); Jon Evans (bass instrument); Matt Chamberlain (drums); London Community Gospel Choir, Kelsey Dobyns (background vocals). Date of Review:  Feb 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: Sarah McLachlan Disease claims another career.
Review: I've always told you the songs are separate from me. Yes, I write them; I gather the elements. But I do so by going around and listening to other people's stories. I watch the audience. I study how people react to what I've already created, and that...

Underwhelmed by the power of orange knickers...or blue..or red...or green.

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: It's no little earthquakes but it's still Tori and she still has her moments.
Review: Many years ago I remember an album that effected me like no other of the time and in some ways the way an album never has since. A naked testimonial to the pain and hurt that can accompany being not only a woman but a human being Tori Amos offered...

Can you "come to terms, to terms with" The Beekeeper's mediocrity?

Date of Review:  Aug 31, 2008
The Bottom Line:

ItĀ just doesn't make sense for someoneĀ as creative as Tori Amos to make an album this boring.

Review: When I first took an interest in Tori Amos' music, countless people told me to avoid her 2005 release The Beekeeper. After listening to many of her other albums and liking most of them very much, I remained curious about this release generally...
