Best GPS Unit For The $.

The Bottom Line: The SporTrak Color is the most versatile color GPS unit you can buy for ~$200.
Review: I purchased the Magellan SporTrak Color GPS Receiver at Costco in December 2004 for $200. Not having owned a GPS unit before, I based my decision to purchase on cost, accuracy, screen resolution, and size. Nowhere was I able to find another color...

New SporTrak doesn't live up to its potential

The Bottom Line: All in all, the SporTrak Color is worth the extra money only if the expanded memory capacity, compass, weather functions, and color screen are must-have features.
Review: I recently took the Magellan SporTrak Color for an extended test drive, comparing it with Magellan's line of grayscale SporTraks.

The obvious advantage of the Color over the other SporTraks is its color screen. Unfortunately this advantage...

A good outdoors GPS with limited utility

The Bottom Line: Recommended for hikers and offroad bikers. Not recommend for driving or long-distance road biking due to the memory limitations and questionable accuracy.
