This is the original made-for-television movie that started it all. Based on the writings of Laura Ingalls Wilder, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE would go on to become one of the most beloved television shows of all time. Follow the Wilder family as they face the hardship of living on the American frontier in the late 1800s. The pilot is directed by star Michael Landon.

Cheesy, Overdramatic, and Wonderful!

The Bottom Line: Little House is the "comfort food" of television reruns. This pilot is a great start to what became a great series.
