The DHT487XP, with Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II, and a robust 75 Watts per channel, is a versatile A/V receiver package that includes 5 satellite speakers and a 100-watt active subwoofer. Since speakers must be carefully selected to bring out the full sound quality of the recording, DENON has made the job easier by selecting the speakers for you. The 100-watt subwoofer features an 8" woofer to drive home the low frequency sounds. Handling the dialogue channel is a 2-way, 3-speaker front speaker. 4 2-way, 2-speaker satellite speakers will take care of the surround duties in your home theater system. With Dolby Pro Logic IIx, the AVR487 recreates existing Dolby Surround programs and conventional stereo sources such as CD in realistic 5.1-channel likeness. Just add your DVD player and you'll be ready to fire up your favorite video or music program in full surround sound.
