Good portable fighter for an under appreciated franchise

The Bottom Line: For the price there's no excuse not to add this to your PSP collection, especially if you like fighters.
Review: The Darkstalkers series was released at the height of Capcom's success with Street Fighter (SF). For that reason it's always been the "red-headed step child" to SF. And since it didn't really include any groundbreaking advances in fighting games...

First appearing on the original PlayStation, the Darkstalkers series picks up speed and takes on new features as it moves to the more powerful Sony portable. Players choose from a selection of 18 horror-film inspired characters, including a vampire, a werewolf, a mummy, and several others, then enter fast-paced bouts of classically styled 2D fighting. Two different control schemes are offered, and the game can be played at a "normal" or "widescreen" resolution.
