Pass On This Kettle, Unless You're Patient...

The Bottom Line: A great kettle, with a horrible residue of some sort, which causes bad taste/smell.
Review: I needed to replace my Russel Hobbs kettle and after looking around a bit, I decided on this one. I have several Breville items and have been happy with them. This one has been something of a mixed bag, though, and here is why.

The Bottom Line: This heater may only be worth it if it's on sale. It is a bit pricier than the competition yet does the same job (boils water).
Review: I picked up this water heater from bed bath and beyond (with the mailed 20% off coupon). It is the most attractive of the available offerings, but also the most expensive.

The Bottom Line: Purchase extended warranty if you buy this kettle. Otherwise, buy a well made stove top stainless kettle.
I give the kettle high marks for design and quality (aside from problems noted).
