Acuras TL delivers performance, style, and comfort. The base TL comes with a powerful 3.2-liter V6 engine, a nicely balanced suspension, a rigid chassis, and classy good looks. For 2002, Acura revised the front and rear styling. A new model designed for enthusiasts, the Type-S ups the ante with a more powerful V6, a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch V-rated tires, and an electronic stability program. Its quick and fun to drive, with a level of rawness that gives it character.

The Bottom Line: Overall, the TL is a good value with lots of standard equipment and smooth engine. But styling and the crash protection could be better
Review: The 2002 Acura 3.2TL is an excellent value. The only option is a DVD-based navigation system that holds the entire US map on one DVD disc. The features that are optional on other cars in this segment are standard here.

Best Bang for the Buck!

The Bottom Line: The BEST car in the $25,000-35,000 price range - try and beat it. The Type S is simply exceptional.

Acura TL Type-S: Lost any fillings lately?

The Bottom Line: An excellent engine and very good interior are let down by the chassis. The ride is amazingly bad, even for a performance-oriented sedan.
