I was driving myself crazy trying to do my due diligence to find the best online retailer for my purchase of a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35, when I stumbled on a reviewer that said that 17th Street Photo was his personal "go to", so I took a chance. They didn't have the lowest price, but they sure didn't have the highest, they were friendly and business like on the phone, right there with informative emails, and it wouldn't have gone better if they had chartered a plane, and hand delivered it to me here in Hawaii. Kudos, and I WILL be using them again for future acquisitions.

I asked for a GPS Garmin and after saying all is OK I become a mail saying it was not possible to send me it because I was paying with an international credit card

I ordered online on a Thursday night, billed to my home address and requested shipping to my place of business. Interestingly, the merchant must have Googled me and obtained my work telephone number (I provided two numbers during the order process, home and cell only, and have never ordered from the merchant before). On Friday, I was surprised to have a voicemail on my work number requesting that I confirm the purchase before they would ship the merchandise via next-day air. Luckily, I called back by the deadline, and the order was shipped and received the following Monday. I think I like the security feature, but calling me at work was unexpected. All in all, a very good experience.

The only issue I have with this purchase was that I paid extra for 2nd day air delivery. I purchased it on a Wednesday and the package didn't come until the following Monday.

I put an order in on November 08, for an "on sale camera" hoping to get as a Christmas gift.  A day later, received a sold out, waiting for another shipment.  Called, they told me 2-3 weeks, then 4-6 weeks after that, all the while having the camera still listed.  I then requested to speak with the manager who was pleasant but could not explain why I received the same email regardless of my question.  After the New Year I found a site indicating multiple complaints that if a person doesn't purchase additional accessories, they are given the same routine I was.  My last call was to the owner who hung up on me when I stated that the camera should be listed as sold out when not available.  I canceled the order which I realized I would never get as ordered.

Excellent - had never used them before, but they had a choice of digital voice recorders in various prices, so I decided to give them a try. Very good email communications about my shipment and tracking #. If I need any small electronics again, I'll check here first.

Item was listed as in stock, order was placed and payment completed through PayPal. Later, I received a message from vendor that item was not in stock. I replied that my payment should be refunded ASAP, which it was but there are several day's delay to get funds back.

Shopping from 17th Street has always been a nice experience. The only thing that seems to have changed since my last visit to 17th Street is the order confirmation process. Earlier 17th Street would call you to confirm your order now you get a mail asking you to call them (not sure if it's a change in process or a one-off incident). Other than that everything is good.

Definitely recommend them for digital camera purchase. I reviewed several sites and found that the lowest prices almost always had very negative reviews, some bordering on scary. Although these guys aren't the cheapest price, they were competitive on the Olympus 1030 that I ordered. It, along with all the accessories that I ordered on Sunday night arrived in perfect condition Tuesday afternoon. I would definitely use 17th Street Photo again.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful!!! I ordered an Olympus 1030SW on the evening of the 28th with two day shipping. On the 29th, by 3 pm, it was sent out. It arrived a day EARLY, on the 30th, by 12pm. The product was perfect, and VERY CHEAP compared to other places. I will definitely buy from 17th Street again!
