Bought a Kenwood SW1 subwoofer online at the Etronics store 01/02/2007. Got a confirmation email for the purchase. The website says they will ship in 1-2 days. A whole week comes and goes and my order is still processing. All the emails I sent to customer support are replied to by a canned scripted email sending me to their online FAQ. Since I paid with Paypal I had to file a complaint that the merchant took the money but did not ship the product. On 01/10/2007 I finally got a reply from Etronics via Paypal that the item would be shipped. I did receive the item by 01/12/2007 and had a question that I sent to tech support. Got another canned reply. It is very hard to contact them by phone and you get to pay for the call to NY.
I have purchased from them before but when shopping for a product now I will not go to their site even if they have a better price. I feel that if Paypal had not opened an investigation on my behalf then I would still be waiting for my item to ship and getting bogus canned emails telling me to go to their FAQ for support and info on shipping.
