Ebay has lost sight of why it started!

Agree with many others that ebay has become quite a drag. Search engine out of hand- just too many bells and whistles at the risk of speed, regardless of internet bandwidth. Too many volume sellers trying to unload junk- but because they're volume sellers ebay doesn't apply the sellers' rules fairly to them. "Regular Joe" sellers get short end of the stick. Rules for sellers have become overwhelming and unfair.
With postal rates going up and up, it's harder to find a good deal. Ebay fees are also constantly rising.
Lots of unusual and hard to find, discontinued things, parts for items you aren't ready to trash or replace -which is a plus. But overall it has greatly deteriorated and just gotten too big for it's own good.
Feedback system really is ridiculous and benefits only power sellers. Ebay is also extremely random as to how they apply their rules and to whom both as sellers and buyers. And they have very little security in place to stop fraud. I've had someone open an account using my stolen credit card info on a card that had been closed for years. but ebay still let them register it and use it. then MY accounts got shut down and what a hassle it was to get them back. Took many many emails and many weeks because at that time, there was no way to contact anyone by phone.
