I purchased High Sierra - Impact Backpack on 6/21/05, and a couple of days later ordered a Downloader Laptop Backpack just in case the High Sierra wasn't big enough. Ebags.com claims a "hassle-free" returns policy, so I thought I would be able to easily return one of the bags for a refund. Boy, was I wrong. I did end up requesting a return of the High Sierra on 7/1/05, I followed the instructions and they received the bag (in its original condition) on the 13th. It's over two weeks later and still no refund. I've called a few times and I customer service blames the problems on me. They claim that I may have chosen to receive a gift certificate rather than a refund when completing my return online. I spoke with customer service on 7/15/05 to follow-up on my refund, which is when they caught the problem. I was told that they would change the refund from the GC to a CC refund and that I should expect to see the refund post to my account within 5-10 business days. It's been 2 weeks, and it still hasn't posted. I called again today ... same run-around ... they tell me that the credit was processed in their system on the 27th and if it doesn't show-up on my account in a couple of business days to call them back. All this HASSLE for $17.99 ... yeah, definitely not a HASSLE-FREE return! Don shop from EBAGS.COM unless you are SURE that you won't want to return the product. I LOVE the Downloader bag and am glad that I don't plan to return it. :-) Bottom-line: Great products ... TERRIBLE customer service!!
