I ordered a Sony sound bar with subwoofer. As soon as my credit card was approved, I was notified regarding the schedule for delivery. The Federal Express tracking number made it easy to keep up with my order. I knew exactly when it would be delivered. Delivery was on time and in good shape.
I also ordered a cable that I subsequently returned. That too, was made easy with Vanns' Return Merchandise Authorization number. I had a good experience and I would recommend them. |

After looking on line and locally, I decided to order a cd changer from vanns.com. I placed the order December 29 2008. I recieved the order on January 5 2009. Not bad considering New years day and a weekend. The product was shipped without mistake and I recieved what I had ordered undamaged. Their fraud department is A-1, they hold the order until you call to confirm it if there is anything suspicous, such as if you ship it to a different address than on your credit card like work address vs. home address. This may seem simple but there are many companies that will just ship if card is approved.I have no complaints with Vanns and will use them again without hesitation should the need arise.

My first experience with Vanns has been a nightmare so far. And I am not happy. Not because of Vanns but because of Yellow Freight. Vanns has been great, and right about everything. Yellow however has really dropped the ball and I am gettin pretty upset.

Excellent company. I first chose Vans because they had the best price on the product I was looking for. I ended up ordering the product from them over the phone. In total I spoke to 3 customer service reps. Each of them was polite friendly and helpful. They were eager to answer my questions an to make sure I was satisfied. The product arrived right on the day that I was told it would. My only disappointment throughout the entire transaction was that FedEx could not provide a delivery window. However this seems less of an issue with Vanns and more a problem with FedEx.

We ordered our Samsung projection TV from Vann’s on the morning of December 5th along with a power strip and cables. By early afternoon, we had email confirmations of the order and UPS tracking information for the power strip and cables. The estimated delivery date was December 11th.
First thing Monday morning, we received an email with Yellow Freight tracking information for the TV. Estimated delivery date was December 15th. I checked the tracking with Yellow Freight and discovered that the TV was already in our hometown. Following the instructions in the email from Vann’s, I called Yellow and set up delivery for Tuesday December 8th. The power strip and cables arrived Thursday December 11th. It was a good thing that Vann’s packed the merchandise well. UPS tried to destroy the package. Overall, Vann’s and Yellow provided amazing service in the middle of the Christmas shipping season. We will definitely return to Vann’s when we need electronics. |

Horrible. I purchased a tv, wait a week and find out that I have to set up an appointment for my tv to be deliveried. I was too excited, So I drove up 45 min. to pick it up. Unpacked it when I got home and found two huge scratches on the tv screen. So I called for a replacement, the picked mine up. I had to wait for them to recieve my damaged one. Then they sent it out. It has been over 2weeks since they picked my tv up. I am still waiting for my tv. They need to change there shipping company, it is horrible I will never do business with them again. I will never buy something that big online again.

After having a frustrating experience with Best Buy online, I returned the 73" Mitsubishi DLP TV to them which was defective from the time it arrived. I shopped around the internet and kept seeing the prices at Vann's. I researched the website and read many reviews before deciding to make my purchase with them. I called them and spoke to their reps and they were very helpful. I went ahead and made my purchase of a 72" Samsung DLP TV and an Onkyo Home Theater receiver. I ordered both on 11/30/08 and received both items by Fed Ex on 12/04/08 as promised. This was a very satisfying experience end to end and both items arrived undamaged and in working order. I will definitely order from them again in the future.

I am very impressed with the effieciency and accuracy of this company. i ordered two Mirage omnisat V2 bookshelf speakers and stands for them and got such a good deal it was the equivelant of getting the stands and shipping free at other stores. (of course to top it off this e-store gave me free shipping anyway.) the order was confirmed and a shipping label was provided to me the next day despite it being a weekend. items came intact and in perfectg working condition. I will be doing buiseness with this company again and will also be suggesting my friends and family do so as well.

I've received what I consider very poor customer service from Vann's. Even dealing directly with their customer service supervisor, leading me to believe that poor service in resolving problems may be part of their company's culture. If your order has no unexpected glitches, they may be fine. However, if there is an unexpected problem--for example, UPS destroys the shipment enroute to you--don't expect Vann's to be willing to help get you a replacement order in a timely manner. Very frustrating. I'm done with Vann's.

The prices were unbeatable. Everything was cheaper then any store big or small. The only down fall was trying to find products. They give no way to sift through the thousands of products they have to offer. You can't sort by price, size, or any of the other things that would make your shopping experience faster and easier on your eyes. Other then that the store is great!

As a first time Vanns shopper, I was impressed with the great price I paid for my item. I spent near a month digging around cyberspace for a great deal and decided on either Vanns, Tiger Direct or Newegg. These three seemed to be the cream of the on-line crop. Check out reviews before you buy! I also received free shipping on my new LG 47LG50 LCD TV which is a big savings and no sales tax! They also threw in a free Omni LCD/Plasma wall mount. What can I say, I would give Vanns high grades for this sale. The whole sale was very simple and fully automated. No pushy salesperson shoving extras down my thoat! After the sale shipping support or tracking was excellent. They used FedEx ground which is the very best for large items. The box arrived in perfect condition. I told a friend who is getting ready to purchase a TV as well and he too, will follow my lead and purchase from Vanns now. Thanks Vanns!

I recently sought a Klipsch iGroove HG speaker system for my iPod. Researching the product on Amazon and other sites, I learned about Vann's and discovered that its price ($99.77) was way below other online retailers'. I had a couple of questions about the Klipsch, though, so I called Customer Service at Vann's and soon found myself talking to a rep named Bekah Wilson. She proved knowledgeable, patient, and wonderfully friendly--a total professional. She concluded our conversation by saying that if I had any problems with the Klipsch, I should call her direct, and she'd make everything right. She then provided me her full name, extension number, and work hours. And she also told me that I'd get free shipping! Well, a few days later UPS delivered my new Klipsch, and it works like a dream. I phoned Ms. Wilson to tell her so and to thank her for her exceptional service. She answered on the second ring, instantly remembered my previous call, and thanked me for the feedback. Very impressive. I'm delighted to know about Vann's and plan to come back to it in the future.

I ordered a Panasonic DMC-FZ28K digital camera from Vann's. It was the first time I had dealt with them. Their delivery speed was phenomenal! I place my order on a Monday night so they got it on Tuesday morning. Thursday morning, two days later, the camera was delivered to my doorstep in SW Washington State. They kept in touch with e-mails so I knew exactly what was going on. The order was exactly as I requested and I found their website very easy to navigate on. I am very pleased with my first experience with Vann's and I will definitely deal with them again.

BEWARE! Vanns.com sent Damaged Item - Zero Customer Service - No Response To Problem.
I purchased an Infinity TSS-1200 home theater system for $500.00. The item arrived distressed and damaged and had been exposed to moisture/water. I called Vanns.com customer service on the same day of delivery and requested an RMA to return. The customer service telephone was forwarded to a voice mailbox. I left a detailed message. I also sent (2) emails requesting an RMA to return the damaged item. Vanns.com did not respond. |

This review is praise for Vann's.
Ordinarily I have little time or interest in reviewing a store. But with expensive internet purchases one has to be more prudent. Years ago the pursuit of a cheap price put me in trouble when I was conned by AAA photo (solved by a phone call to the CC issuer). So while Vann's ratings are very good, still I was a touch hesitant to order from the internet rather than pay much more from Best Buy in order to have comfort knowing they were around the corner. I placed an order for a 46" Panasonic Plasma TV Monday night. Vann's approved my order Tuesday morning. Wednesday I was stunned when Fed Ex call me to schedule delivery. Thursday afternoon I was watching it. I live in NM and usually items take about a week to arrive. But the route to MT may be better(?). Anyway Vann's service was excellent. |
