We bought a Bosch Washing machine from Vanns. The pre-purchase advice over the phone was good and the final Internet-ordering was easy and worked well. The follow-up emails came promptly but the tracking was confusing. The posted delivery date was off by 4 days and the tracking progress ended with the washer being in a town 75 miles to the south of us. When the shipper finally called it turned out that the washer was actually 130 miles west of us...?? Even though Vanns and the shipper knew that it was a residential delivery they used a full size semi that couldn't possibly make the turn into our road let alone come close to the house. So, I had to take a day off of work, meet the semi in a big parking lot and load it onto a trailer.
The packaging was undamaged but after we unpacked it we found that the side panels were both dented. I called Vanns and found out that they stopped carrying the washer and they promised that their specialist would call me back about the damage. Well, they didn't call back and the 48 hr return period expired. Even if they would take the damaged washer back I can't take another 2 days off just to load it onto another semi and then get another washer that is probably dinged up again. The washer itself is fantastic! Super quiet, super efficient and it cleans clothes better than anything we ever had before. It's a Bosch Nexxt 800. Vanns quit carrying it, so buy it somewhere else.
