The item I ordered was in-stock and expected to ship in 1 day (according to their website). It's been a week, it shipped yesterday and my previous e-mails have gone unanswered. The only thing that happened fast was the billing on my credit card. Their name is appropriate - these guys are tools.

Ordered a saw that was shown as "in stock".  After 1 week with no feedback, I called and they told me that it had been backordered and would ship in a day or two.  Had I known that up front I would have ordered it elsewhere (Contractors Direct had been great).  When I asked them to expedite shipping to make up for their failure they refused but did credit my $10 shipping charge.  Overall I am very dissatisfied and will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Ordered $500 cordless power tool combo as NEW product. About the only thing that was new was the carrying bag (sealed in plastic)... at least I think it's new...

The combo was not double boxed and was opened so they could insert additional items of order.

The power tools were only held in place by cardboard slot- otherwise loose. AND BATTERIES WERE CONNECTED TO SAW AND DRILL -without any safety locks!

Obvious scratches on saw.. I could go on. Either these are refurb or at a minimum demos from a store. Can't wait to deal with their returns. This will also cost me a rebate that will expire while I deal with their incompetence.

Ordered a flash light that was listed as the "deal of the day." In the picture the dewalt flashlight had the battery. Also no where in the description did they say that this flashlight did not come with the battery. Received the product with nothing other then the top portion that looked reconditioned / even recently used. This company seems to be full of scam artists. I will not buy from ToolKing ever again!

Terrible Customer Service.
I am stationed in the middle-east with the US Army. I ordered a Bosch drill from ToolKing and hadn't received it after one month. I wrote four times asking about the order status. The claim a 24 hour turn-around on inquiries--not true. It took about 10 days for them to answer all emails with the same impersonal canned response. Bottom line was that they don't sell to soldiers or anyone else using an APO address. I won't deal with someone who has all the appearances of being anti-military. This was a Christmas gift and they advised me on 15 December that they wouldn't sell me the item I had ordered on their website more than one month before.

Placement of the order was fine, received shipment notification withing four days. The air compressor package I ordered was factory reconditioned, but looks like more like it was used for a couple weeks before it was shipped to me. The air hose was damaged and small things the package deal comes with were missing. I am going to call customer service today and let them know, although I was going to buy a new air hose anyways. I would rather not send it back since I have work to be done.

The overall ordering process is great. However, from the point that I submitted the order to the point that it was shipped, there was absolutely no information and no promises or real customer service. They are generally easy to reach, but once you reach them they won't provide anything but a generic idea of several days. At the end of the 6th business day since I ordered this, I still have not received any word about shipment. When I contact customer support via chat, they simply state that the concern has been forwarded and they are waiting for the update. How about getting out of the easy chair and going and figuring it out.

All my purchases with this company have been exceptional in value and service. I believe an improvement is needed in the way items are packed for shipping. The few times I have received damaged items it was apparent proper packing would avoid the delay of putting the item(s) into service. In spite of the delay, damaged items have always been repaired/replaced within an acceptable amount of time and to my satisfaction.

Almost 2 weeks now and my order still says "Processing" yet the item is listed as "In Stock" and their site says orders usually ship in 2 business days. Apparently my order is unusual.

I really hate when I order off the internet and later find that the tool I ordered is shipped from the manufacturer, not tool king. The tool king website says "in stock", but nothing about where. This only bothers me because I live in Colorado and usually recieve my orders in 1-2 days. From the manufacturer my order often takes 10 days. That really sucks.

The item ordered was shown to "In Stock" at the time I placed the order and when checking my account this order is shown as having been shipped. Since I have not yet received it, I contacted Tool King's customer service department and I did receive a prompt reply informing me that due to hurricane season, etc., generators have been back ordered and that I will be advised of shipping number, etc., when the item is shipped. I do appreciate the follow-up however I'm really unable to complete the survey at this time and (required) responses to some of the questions are unfair to the vendor at this stage. Ann Wallace

I purchased a combined offer of a tile saw, a stand for the saw, and an angle grinder. The angle grinder came within one week. After calling UPS numerous times to find out where the rest of the order was, I learned there wasn't anything else coming. I had to email and call a total of 3 times to find out there was a delay on the saw and that it hadn't shipped. I received confirmation that it was shipping the next day (over one week later). When it arrived, there was no stand. I had to call and email again - twice this time - to find out that it was on backorder and wouldn't even ship for ANOTHER 7-10 days. I have yet to receive the stand. I am extremely annoyed at having to track the merchant down to get answers that items are on backorder - they should have let me know. Other items on their site state they are on backorder and don't allow you to purchase them until the were available. You never get a person on their customer service line, you always have to leave a message. I could have had this saw and been using it on a project weeks ago if I had ordered it from another vendor I use that had it in stock. The communication from this company was poor, and it is unlikely I will use them again.

The stapler was like new condition at a good price, and received in a reasonable amount of time. The staples were 1-1/2" long fir a 1" stapler. (One digit off from the desired 1/2" staples) Shipping for return and exchange was more than the cost of the staples, so I threw away $18.00 worth of useless staples. I was blamed for not carefully checking the confirmation. So, if I don't catch your stupid mistakes, it's my fault...right???
