ShopNBC has treated me well, I think.

I purchased a 50" DLP tv. The unit arrived in fine shape. Ten days later the sound stopped working. Could not even make sound from attached sound system. I called for the 30 day trial to be suspended immediately (remember! starts from order date). I had kept all packaging materials. Lucky for me! They required all returns in original shipping boxes. About two months later I received a credit for about $2200 on credit card, credit in full!. What problem? Eighteen months later (Dec 2007) phone calls started coming in from a collection agency demanding $570 for a damaged tv screen from unit I sent back. I did not hire trucking company. All the paper work I discarded concerning tv when I received credit. Have you ever tried to prove to a collection agency you don't owe money? ShopNBC says my balance to them is zero, so I need to deal with vendor. Whom I can't contact by telephone. Have you ever tried to prove to a collections company you do not have a contract with their client? Collections has mentioned suing. I would love to tell my side of this to a Judge! The collections people still call.
