When I make an order, I have clothes and shoes shipped to the store so that I can try them on right away, and either return them (and order the next size) or keep them. Heavy things I have shipped to the store. If I need definite items quickly, or if I am too busy, or the weather is difficult, I send them to my home. I sense that REI employees enjoy their jobs, and enjoy helping people.

The sales associates at teh Oak Brook store were very helpful and friendly. An item that I wanted was not on the shelf and they happily went to the wearhouse and got the item. My questions were answered quickly and I was directed to the correct area for products that I wanted to purchase. Over all a very good experience.

I was not happy that although I entered my husband's and my shared REI number, I was charged as a non-member. I suspect this is because the card is under my husband's name and I asked for the items to be shipped to me. I do not have this problem when I shop in the store and show the card. Do need to get my own card?

STaff needs more training. Gave me wrong part number for tack for my car because she did not check year. If I hadn.t double checked it, wold have had to return and reorder - not good for me or REI

With this last order for 4 pair of winter boots, the clerk at the pick up desk was very nice and asked if I needed any help or had any questions while I was trying on the boots there. I'd ordered 4 because I wasn't sure of style or size that would work and one of the 4 did so that was great. It's also really nice to be able to return the un-needed items right there at the pick up area and not have to go upstairs and wait in a return line. This was at the downtown Seattle store.

The package was supposed to be delivered in two days and i paid about $22 extra for that. It came three days later and in the late afternoon so i was not pleased with that.

There is no REI store near me, so I'll always shop online. I've always had a great experience. Love the quality of your merchandise. The item I purchased was a gift. If it doesn't work, REI had another similar item that I will buy for this person.

A gift card would seem to be a simple item to ship but delivery took 2 weeks after I was notified the card had been sent which caused me to contact customer service. Customer service reps were courteous, helpful and attentive. They followed up with me several times which was appreciated.

I love REI. 80% of my clothes are from REI. The staff is great and know everything about everything in the store. I ship all of my purchases to the REI store in Ann Arbor becuase I like the store - and it is right next to Whole Foods!

I am returning 3 items when I pick up another order at the store. Women's boxer underwear runs very small (perhaps this is why it was on sale at the REI online outlet.) Also returning a pair of sox that are not to my liking.
