I thought I discovered a great place to shop for pretty much anything I needed. Pretty much daily, I happily checked the site for deals and made the occasional purchase of deals that couldn't be passed up. That is UNTIL I had to return something that didn't work out. I didn't read the fine print (I know, my mistake) and did not realize the re-stocking fees were outrageous! If I had known this - I would not have ordered the items in the first place and if I had, I would have just kept the items. I bought a pair of shoes for $32 and I literally got $6 back! I didn't even the try the shoes on! Within the same order, I ordered a pair of jeans for $45 and and only got $20 back! In all, I lost $51 - which is a lot of money for me. Although this is a policy that I should have known about evidently, I do not think these are realistic fees. I have ordered other items from overstock in the past - curtains, coffee table, sheets, bedding...luckily, I did not have to return anything so I was happy with overstock.com. Now, knowing that I could get slammed with re-stocking fees - I am not willing to gamble with this site. I am done with overstock.com and will never shop there again.
