I live in New York and I placed two orders from this Internet retailer to be shipped to my daughter and granddaughter in Tennessee. I clearly filled in the separate billing and shipping addresses, and confirmed the Order as directed. I received the usual e-mail confirmations of my orders, and didn't bother reading them, as I was recovering from surgery.

The following morning I went to track my order through the "tracking" link, and learned then that both orders were being shipped to my home/billing address, and not to my daughter and granddaughter in Tennessee. This presented a real problem for me because I am in no position, post surgery, to take these (large) boxes to the post office-I can't even drive right now.

I called customer service and spoke with several women including those who were identified as supervisors (per my request). I was told the following: I should have noticed the wrong shipping information on my order confirmations (I am at fault apparently, because I didn't catch THEIR mistake), and the following even less believable response: There is an extra key you have to click on to confirm that the address you entered as the "shipping address" is in fact the address you want the items shipped to. Another words, the they were able to authorize my charge card with one input, but not able to accept the "shipping address" as the address where I wanted the item shipped, without still another screen click off that I somehow missed.

The customer service people were rude and condescending and insisted I had only two choices: I could pay for repeat orders to be shipped to Tennessee, and then ask to have the orders shipped to me to be picked up and wait for a credit..or I could refuse shipment and wait for a credit. Since they screwed up such as simple thing already I didn't trust them to ever credit me, and since it was THEIR mistake, I asked repeatedly for them to ship another order to my daughter, without a second payment, and then arrange to have the order shipped to me picked up. They refused, despite this being their mistake, and my circumstances post-surgery.
