I have gone to Office Depot stores in the past for many of my office needs. For a while I began preferring Office Max (but some issues there) I soon have gone back to Office Depot. By far my favorite in-store office supplier, not my favorite by catalog or online supplier.
I rarely make the orders online-rather I browse online at the products, compare with other companies, and then order over the phone or go to the store. However that is enough to know how I like their site.
They can make it rather confusing to find something if you're not positive what it's called or what category it's considered in. When I'm looking for Avery labels, I'm considering this a paper product! They don't necessarily agree with me. I find it easier to simply search by manufacturer number (like Avery 8160) and it comes up every time (if they have it). However, you have to know where to look or what to search for. That can be a little frustrating at times.
The process of making the order is simple, you can order online, over the phone or fax. Orders arrive pretty much ontime with few problems. And the nice thing is you can OFTEN times return the item to the store rather than ship it back if there's a problem.
I still like the convenience of shopping in-store, and I will continue to do so as long as Office Depot is still around the corner. They don't offer big sales or freebies like my preferred company Quill does, so it makes it less worth while to order online and maybe pay shipping (because I can't always make $50.00 orders).
I do recommend Office Depot. Their online site and catalog offers wider selections than their stores do, but I think you ought to get it FROM the store if you can.
