My husband lamented, Cant you write one in under 300 words? Im game. Ok, third attempt at a shorter review.
Kohls, talk about addiction, even darling hubby cant resists its charm. On line or in the store this place knows how to grab you with their marketing tricks galore. They have perpetual sales, % off coupons, spend $50 get $10, and other never ending sales hypes. (Name that musical: You got to have a gimmick if you want to get ahead
Gypsy is correct.)
As with the brick and mortar store, kohls.com runs the same weekly sales and assorted buyer persuading promotions. They also have various shipping offers. Unfortunately, they arent great. Mostly there is the frequent free shipping with $75.00 total purchase and the $.99 shipping per item on certain goods. These arent spectacular shipping deals especially when compared to amazon.com or drugstore.com.
Oh, speaking about gimmicks, Kohls offers 10% off your order when you sign up for their email promotions. Thats not a bad deal. Also, they participate with upromise.com and ebates.com for a % back of your purchase. I appreciate that.
Kohls on line does have a fairly nice selection. Two years ago hubby found a coat that he really liked at the store. Sadly, it didnt come in a larger size. I found it that very evening on kohls.com and at the same clearance price. We were both surprised and pleased. Only drawback is that they repeatedly show products that after clicked state they are no longer available. Thats annoying.
Their website is easy to navigate with simple tabs at top of page that once clicked provide a list on the left of that categorys subdivisions. They seemed to be arranged in a common sense manner and sought after items are quickly located. A running total, including shipping, of items in your shopping bag is maintained near the top left hand corner of the page.
I think it takes every day listed in estimate of shipping time to receive ordered merchandise. They arent speedy. At least they are for the most part, safe with mailing products. I havent had any damaged packages.
Returns are pretty quick and painless unless its in the thick of holiday season. You can mail the items back or simply return them to your local Kohls store. The full price you paid is refunded with receipt. I have brought back a few orders for different reasons (including they were on sale at a better price the next day) but none were ever a problem.
Ill admit, kohls.com isnt my most favorite site to shop but its not too bad. They are easy to work with and they have good prices. (Speaking of counting, Im currently at 455 words.) Im game but Im no good at short and swift reviews.
