I ordered the six piece Le Creuset set in red from this business. The website said it was in stock and my card would not be charged until it shipped. (Usually with 48 hours) After a day and a half, I noticed my card had been charged, however I had not been notified about shipping. I sent an email to the company requesting information about whether or not the item shipped, however did not receive a reply. I checked the website and the items I ordered were now showing they were on backorder. I was able to call the business and speak with customer service. She told me that my items were on backorder, but that my card had been charged because they thought it was shipping out. She advised me it was scheduled to ship out as we spoke, so I did not cancel my order. The next day I re-contacted the business because I still did not receive shipping notification. At that point she apologized and said they did not receive the product however it had come in that morning so it would ship out today. She offered to verify this while I waited on the phone, then told me she was sorry but it had not come in. I then requested she cancel my order. Several hours later she sent me an email stating the product came in and did I still want to cancel. At this point, I was very wary of continuing this order with this business, however I knew it would be days before my account was credited to that I could buy it elsewhere. I told her to please go ahead with my order. The next day I still did not have shipment notification, and when I tried to check the status of my order through the website it showed cancelled. I called back yet again, and was told that the order had gone through, it just didn't reflect it on the website. She provided me with my tracking number, and the cookware finally arrived the following week. It is beautiful and in perfect condition. The person I spoke with during this whole incident was always very pleasant, however based on all the other customer experiences listed I feel that my issues were not a random and unusual occurrence. I would not buy from here again unless it was an item I could not find anywhere else.

They accepetd the order and called to leave a message that I should opt for express delivery for an extra charge to get delivery before Christmas. When I called to reach them, all I got was a voice mail. Then I got an e-mail saying it is backordered and I should call or send an e-mail on whether I wanted to keep the order or cancel it. I have called twice and sent an e-mail to ask for information on when it will be available. No one has bothered to even reply to any of my contacts. This is easily the WORST customer service I have encountered in many years of web shopping - I will not shop here again and would recommend to others that they do not shop either. This is an inefficient, indifferent outfit - you can do a lot better on the web.

The worst online store on the planet! I ordered on 12-09-07 they promptly charged my card and did nothing else. I called numerous times and the call center is either not taking calls or the mailbox is full. no response to any of my e-mails either. On 12-17 I filed a dispute with Pay-Pal about them they responded saying the item would ship on 12-22, this was a Saturday and they don't ship on weekends, more lies. I finally reached them on 12-26 and cancelled the order, the operator told me I would get a refund within 72 hours, lie, lie, lie. I again was able to reach them on 1-02-08 and was told by Angela that the billing dept. put my refund "on the back burner because I opened a dispute with Pay-Pal" I promptly exploded and after she re-called billing I got my money credited back. Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid.

On 12/12 I placed an order for a stock pot which was indicated as being in stock. I received an order confirmation which said my account would not be charged until the item was shipped in 7-10 days. I e-mailed them after 7 days and received no response. On 12/29 I still did not receive the pot or shipping information, so I checked my credit card account to find they charged the item on 12/17 - but did not ship the item. I called, only to find out that THEY DO NOT REGULARLY UPDATE THEIR STOCK ITEM INFO and my item was out of stock - of which I was never notified. When I asked why my account was charged on 12/17 but nothing was shipped I was told it was credited on 12/28 - 11 days later!!! When I proceeded to ask questions about the order the "customer service" person hung up on me!!!! I will NEVER shop here again and plan on telling all I know about this experience.

on Dec. 19th as I did not yet receive the product, but got an answering machine and no email response. Called again on
Dec. 20th and got a machine again and no return call.
On Dec. 27th I received a credit from Pay Pal with still no
info or response. No communication from the merchant was
available. No product and no response why.
a bad experience overall. What a bunch of jerks. Merry Christmas to them too!

I was very disappointed with KitchenU. I ordered a Christmas gift on 15 Dec, plenty of time to recieve it, but I never heard from them again. I had to call my credit card company to confirm the order had been shipped. I attempted to call them at the 1-800 number listed but only got an answering machine at the most busiest time of year. I left one message and it was never returned. I was referenced to KitchenU by Amazon an figured they were reputable but maybe Amazon doesn't check up on these type of folks I'm not sure. By the way I prefer shopping online and have been doing so for all types of purchases from cars, computers, to gifts, and this is my first bad review of a company. Recommend all others proceed cautiously with KitchenU they really let me down.

I ordered a coffee maker from Kitchen Universe which appears to be a very amateur operation, but decided the next day that I wanted a different model.
I emailed KU asking them to substitute the upgraded model. KU did not respond to two phone calls nor two emails, one of which was from PayPal. Two weeks later, they shipped the item I originally ordered in spite of my request and notices. I refused delivery of the item and am awaiting a refund since they have had my payment for nearly a month now. I will not do business with these people again ! |

Kitchen Univ assured me that I would receive the item on 12/18/07. It is now 12/23/07 and the item has not been delivered. I have called their customer service number every day since 12/20/07 to get a "voice Mail box" and my calls have not yet been returned. Christmas is here and this present is not. I will never deal with this company again.

The website said 'in stock' so I ordered it, then the order tracking said shipping. When I phoned up to ask when it would arrive they said it was on back-order, which is unacceptable at Christmas when it's a gift. They had also already taken payment from my account.
However, when I phoned them they were very helpful and canceled the order immediately.
