Incompetent non-English speaking sales and tech support. Byzantine menu designed to frustrate the consumer
by nestornajwa, April 17, 2007

|
I should have known better when It took 7 calls to HP to try to purchase one of their inferior machines. The first six attempts were dropped by their call options menus or malicious sales personnel. On the 7th try, I reached someone who was capable of correctly typing my credit card number (I don't ask for much), so I foolishly bought a $2100 notebook from HP.
Out of the box, it would not boot properly. I have been trying to reach tech support for three weeks, but HP has deliberately erected barriers against this. I've spent about 3 1/2 hours on hold (total) during several attempts to get help. On all but two of these attempts, the system dropped my call after extensive wait time. Twice I eventually reached someone, only to realize they DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. All they knew was "hello" and something about an account number. Needless to say, these were short and fruitless conversations. Now I need to deal with State and local consumer protection agencies to get any kind of satisfaction. Please don't do this to yourself. Don't make the mistake I made. DON'T BUY HP!!!! |

Price Gouging
by neovision, December 22, 2006

Am looking for HP 23D tri-color cartridge and this place wants $42 plus shipping while local Walmart offers the same item for $32. Now, that is price gouging and a true sign that HP owners are being considered as saps.

They advertised free shipping but would not honor the offer

Beware of the false claims. For a PSC 1410 Printer the company is advertising FREE SHIPPING. But when you try and buy the printer from their website, SURPRISE, they want to charge you shipping. A customer service rep didn't believe me so I took him to Shopping.com and he saw the FREE shipping for himself and then said it must have been a mistake of the website. So I politely told him, I am not interested in purchasing their product. I'll buy another printer from someone a little less shifty!

False Advertising-Report Them to the B.B.B
by pcspawn, September 23, 2005

Don't believe the HP "leader" adds posted on the internet. This company appears to be using "used car sales" tactics in it's advertising scheme. I have been looking for a small computer and have been watching a variety of sites to gain knowledge about the pricing structure for these things. At the moment I am writing this HP has two adds showing a price of $264.00. When you click the link to purchase the advertised item you end at an advertisement for the product that would cost you over $700.00. I have called them twice to inquire about the advertised price and to let them know that this add is out there. The first time I called the add disappeared the next day only to be replaced by one that didn't include the specifications sheet. Next stop for me is the Better Business Bureau with printouts I made of their adds.

HP's name deserves better. Don't believe in-stock claims or online status.

HP's name deserves better. They claim in-stock when it isn't; the online status provided is untimely, cryptic, incomplete, and uses an insecure login. Specifics: I ordered a Tripp-Lite USB-to-parallel converter, roughly a $30 item, on 8/20/05. This

Outstanding products and outstanding service!

I have ordered a custom built laptop (zd8000), cameras, other peripheral equipment, and, just recently, the HP Color LaserJet 2600n printer (thanks to an excellent review by PC Magazine!). Not only were the products everything they were cracked up to be, but I also received the best pre- and post sale service. I would strongly recommend hpshopping.com for everyone, whether an individual or a small business.

First experience buying direct from HP was terrible

I purchased a configured Proliant ML 150 Server from the HP Small Business Online store, which was shipped to me 20 days later without the hard drive or operating system that was ordered. My attempts to get the issue resolved have spanned two weeks of time, and I still do not have the Windows Server operating system. Each time I call tech support, it takes 48 hours for a response, and I have had to call three times due to errors with my order. I have always recommended HP hardware, but my experience with their customer service is enough to keep me from ever buying direct again.

Would order from HP again in a heart beat!

I ordered a HP Compaq Gaming PC, Photosmart 735 Digital Camera, monitor, USB printer cable, Photosmart 2510 PSC all in one, 8886 camera dock for the digital camera and a 3 year total one service contract on September 8th. The PC I knew was going to take a little longer to arrive than the rest of the order simply because it's a customized PC that has a longer build time than non-customized systems but everything else arrived only 2 days later despite the fact that I selected 5 day shipping. The shipping and handling was absolutely free as well which made it all the more better. The customized PC had an expected ship date date of September 23rd but it shipped September 20th and to my great surprise, HP shipped it next day air, for FREE! My entire shopping experience with HP Shopping has been absolutely great and I'm planning on ordering much much more from them in the future.

Purchased a Belkin USB Joystick Adapter, was very impressed with HP's pricing and low shipping and handling fees. Paid only $5.00 for UPS second day delivery, much more affordable than some of the other sites available. Highly Recommend!

the best shipping handling, no problem with returns. 30 day money back guarantee. They deliver and pick up your purchased product. No hassle. The best experience I have in purchasing a laptop computer bought and returned it twice without any problem. Computer works great and good price for a very good system. Offer lots of choices.
