I purchased a Gateway E6500D for my small business on 8/2/05 using the on-line store. I was trying to replace a Gateway E-4200 that has never had a problem and worked great for over five years. Placed order, and computer arrived on time, but when I started it it did not work. After a whole day on the phone with Tech support the Tech agent placed an order for a replacement hard drive. Four days later new hard drive comes, but does not work, another day wasted with Tech support. Hard Drive # 3 comes next day, I installed hard drive and computer does not boot windows, another day on phone with tech support. Finally I get fed up and ask for a replacement computer, tech support agent puts order in and I ship back computer (what a pain in the butt). New computer arrives on 8/30/05, missing DVD drive I had on original order. Another day on phone with Gateway to find out that they will not take back a replacement computer and that they will do nothing to compensate me for lost time or aggravation. Customer service sucks, If I ever get this thing to work I will never trust it. I will never order a Gateway product again. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM. I feel like I've been held up by gun point.
