FaucetDepot sent me a USED LVH1000 SN H/C Water dispenser, missing parts, with no owners' manual, cosmetically damaged, and arrived 4 weeks late. When the verifiable
details of this situation were brought to their attention, FaucetDepot refused to correct the situation. I will never shop FaucetDepot again, and have had much better shopping experiences at FAUCET.COM.
Details follow:
I ordered a LVH1000 Dispenser. It did not arrive for over a month. Worse yet, when it did arrive on a Friday, it was
a USED product. There were pipe wrench scratches in the stainless faucet from a prior installation, and the box was
missing the instruction manual, the mounting bracket, and all pipe fittings. Clearly the item had been installed, and uninstalled, previously.
Because we had waited so many weeks for this product to arrive, we substituted the missing parts with items purchased from the hardware store, and successfully installed the unit.
After contacting FaucetDepot with these facts, we were discouraged to hear the only remedy they would provide to us was for us to: a) Uninstall the unit, b) Return it to them, and c) Wait another several weeks for a replacement to arrive that, d) we could install for a second time.
I told FaucetDepot that their remedy was unreasonable. I asked them to check their records to confirm that
this unit was indeed a "return" to them. In light of that, and in light of the month delay in delivery, I asked them to consider: 1) Reimbursing me $15 for the hardware I
had to replace, and, 2) Giving me a discount since this product used and arrived to me with scratches on its
finish.
Since neither of these accommodations addressed the extensive time involved in searching for the replacement parts, and the "blind" install since no owners manual came included with the product, I thought this accommodation to be extremely fair.
Unforunately, FaucetDepot refused to do anything to correct this situation, and ignored further communication from me.
