I went to E-Loan for a pre-approval for a mortgage on my first home. Within a few seconds after submitting the application online, I was pre-approved. In less than five minutes, I was contacted by a loan consultant. After some suggestions from others, I cancelled with E-Loan and opted for a bank. The bank never processed my paperwork or locked in my rate (even after using a credit card to secure my lock-in rate).

When I had finally found the home I wanted and extended my offer, I found out that the bank that was supposed to be working for me wasn't. He had never locked in the rate or did any of the things I asked him. In a panic, I contacted E-Loan and they reactivated my loan immediately at a better rate than the bank offered. I was told that my pre-approval was still in place even after I had cancelled. In LESS than 10 business days E-Loan had my papers ready for closing. They have really streamlined the things and you can check online 24/7 to find out where you are in the process or what papers may be missing. Additionally, my loan consultant was responsive and helped me every step of the way. What could have been a stressful experience was not only pain-free but QUICK! If I ever need another loan, I will use E-Loan again and recommend them to anyone who needs a mortgage.
