Not happy about my experience with this store whatsoever. I ordered Planet Earth on blu-ray as it was on sale. Someone stole my UPS package. When I called CS about it, they informed me it was out of stock due to holidays and would ship another when they were back in. I called in after the date they gave me they'd be back in and- surprise... they have no record of that conversation at all. This time around CS tells me "sorry, it shows that you received it" when they never even had my signature on the delivery and basically called me a liar when I told them of my previous conversation. They refused to ship me another one so I just disputed the charge with my CC company and got my money back. Terrible customer service, especially after-hours in India.

Ordered item on May 4th; item's "estimated ship date" was May 9th. It's now May 15th, my niece's birthday. Have not received the item, and the online status is still "processing" although that term is only supposed to be applicable for the first 24 hours. I did not receive notice the item would be delayed. I called customer service, and the representative did not know the item's status or when it would be shipped. She said it had been "picked" which means it is likely still in their warehouse. Wish they had been either been honest about realistic shipping date or informed me of delay.

I bought my grandson the remote control tarantula online for Christmas in December. He played with it twice and it malfunctioned on the second try. He was very disappointed. I tried to get a refund and was told I needed my store receipt. Duh, I ordered it online and did not have a receipt. I had my order number and my bank statement where they took their payment from but that was not good enough. Since it was a Santa gift, I had already destroyed all the packing material and thrown it away. I have tried to post numerous reviews but apparently they do not post negative reviews on their site at all. I have tried everything to contact them. I've used email, phone calls and actual paper letters. I advise everyone not to shop there. Very bad quality products and very poor customer service!

i will not shop at discovery online store any longer - when inquiring through customer service about shipping and follow-up, they were rude, dismissive and ignorant - and never did ask the original question i had posed... i will never shop online there again and make sure all friends and family know there is an alternative... please go to http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/ to be a better treated consumer

I have had a series of bad experiences with Discovery Store. Received items for Xmas gift for children; quality was poor. Wanted to return to retail store; called local store which said to return within a month. Called two wks later, and store had closed. Called another store; they said I could return at no cost to warehouse for exchange. CAlled 1-800; they said not possible. Returned items at cost to me; they notified giftgiver of return, even though it was clearly a gift; giftgiver was very upset, and this was totally unnecssary. Called to complain; asked for follow-up call. Never was called. Received the 3 exchange items; one was broken. CAlled to complain; totally unresponsive yet again. It is as if they do not care atll about their poor customer services.

Delivery was fast (4 day turnaround from purchase to arrival), even when choosing the cheapest one. A tracking number would have been nice, but USPS didn't offer one.
The size of item (8-10) is a bit misleading as I'd hoped it get a bit more use than for Halloween. Sizes do run small with this item, but my son loves it! |

Very satisfactory experience in ordering and receiving product. Delivery was in 5 days and excellent condition. Shipping at one price identified at order. Called for delivery on $3200 product delivery. Had best initial shipping/warranty for return (if needed) at 60 days from receipt of product.
