Not so hot. I purchased Microsoft Office Professional 2007 from them. Making sure that no where during the checkout process did it say that I was buying the Academic License. No where did it say that's what I was purchasing. A week later, I got the academic version.
I called to let them know what had happened. The customer service rep basically said it is exactly the the same software, hinting at letting me know I should just keep it, even though it's illegal for me to use it. Giving me example after example of someone who could benefit from the academic license even though I told him at the very beginning of the call that I couldn't use it.
His solution if I didn't want to keep it? Pay to ship it back and they could likely waive the 15% restocking fee. What?! It wasn't my fault in the first place, it shouldn't cost me a dime, they should compensate me for their misleading representation of the software they're selling. Clearly, they want to sell illegal licenses of common software to they can maximize profit on these less expensive packages. Other places I've talked to that sell academic licenses to Microsoft software packages require that you VERIFY that you qualify for the discounted license. Not push you to use a version you don't qualify for.
Would definitely not do business with again.
