Bait and switch.

I ordered a 7" Audiovox portable DVD player that was $199 after $100 rebate. Model : D1750T
But the one I got via Fedex was VBP700 for $339

While I was on the phone with customer support, I decided to click "add to cart" on the 1750 and loe and behold, the VBP700 was the product that wound up in the shopping cart.
When I tried to order the 1750 over the phone, they were out of stock.
I think it's crappy that they would ship the wrong product and even crappier that a different item would wind up in the shopping cart than the one selected.

Circuit City refuses to honor its Price Guarantee, offering me a series of excuses. I bought a large-screen LCD television from Circuit City. When I saw it for several hundred dollars less the following week on line, Circuit City told me that they would not match internet-only stores. So I found a brick-and-mortar store 15 minutes away that had the item in stock for less. Again, Circuit City wouldn't match, this time saying that the store must be within the same city as Circuit City. So I found another brick-and-mortar store in the same city, but this time Circuit City said no match because the other store was backordered on the TV. So I found yet another brick-and-mortar store in the same city that had the TV in stock, available for immediate purchase and pickup. This one Circuit City refused to match, saying that "that store is known for selling refurbished merchandise." I checked with the other store and confirmed that the items were brand-new, non-refurbished, factory-sealed, full US warranty, etc. But Circuit City still refused to match the price. At this point, I am filing a claim against Circuit City with the Dept of Consumer Affairs.

We paid a little more to purchase a Sony DVD/VCR combo from Circuit City.com because its "package deal" included a free DVD. Found no special instructions on how to acquire free DVD so we trusted Circuit City and continued our transaction - Big Mistake!   Read full review...

I was Very satisfied. I had promised my daughter a Playstation for Christmas if she improved her grades. She lived up to her end of the deal, and then I was surprised to see that the Playstations were not easily available. I was thrilled to find it on this site and at an affordable price. Purchased Casio Exilim EX-S100 digital camera. Price was right, on-line ordering was uncomplicated. When I contacted them via telephone personnel were polite, courteous and helpful. Order was processed and shipped the following day and I received it in 3 days. All and all a very pleasant shopping experience. I wish all E-tailers were as professional and efficient. I will use them again.

Quite satisfied with CC. Ordered my PC on-line and chose to pick up at my neighborhood store; I went to the store and waited fewer than 5 minutes for the item to be ready. The only complication was the rebate which was not available at the store and which I finally found on-line by googling the CC website. As it turned out, CC has special Internet-only rebates for limited times (my rebate applied for only 3 days!). So I got the advantage of ordering on-line, being eligible for the rebate and picking up at the store. Plus I used my frequent flyer website's referral to earn some extra miles. Hard to beat that.

I was able to find the Gameboy Advance SP Limited Classic NES Edition for $79.99 on the website. The Classic NES Edition is now hard to find in stores, and even if they do have it they have it priced at $100-$150. Glad to see Circuit City has the item in stock and at the retail price of $79.99. I immediately placed my order from the Circuit City website and optioned for pickup at a nearby store.

Don’t buy anything at Circuit City. This is the worst store ever. They mislead their customers. Their 30 day price matching policy sucks. They don’t care about their customers. I bought a digital camera Sony sdc f828 at price $899.98 at circuit city located at Queens b-d, NY. Right now it costs $600. But, if you check their website you’ll find that price is still $899.98. So, there is no way to check the correct prices. They do everything possible to cheat and mislead you. So, I lost almost $300 for 2 months. Don’t waste your time calling to Circuit City customer service, nobody cares about you. Nobody there will match any prices for you. Unless you would rent a part of their store to check the prices inside the store after you buy anything there.

I purchased a Sony TRV70 from Circuit City and I should have known better. After asking the "salesman" and I use that term very very loosely, if everything was in the box, I took it home and of course just like Drive Through, they left out the memory card. When I called them, both the "salesman" and the store "manager" (again a loose term) told me oh well, we dont have it anymore. Bring it back if you want. I dont want, I want what I was sold. not some excuses. Once again, Buyer beware. All circuit City is interested in is avoiding bankruptcy, not customer service

I ordered two computer game controllers. One was damaged and the other worked great. I had to send the damaged one back at my expense. They sent the origanal shipment with free shipping and the returned item they sent back to me agian with free shipping. The customer service rep I dealt with for the return was kind and very helpful along with being very appologetic about the bad product. I don't use on line shopping very often, but I will be glad to use Circut City again.

The 110% low price guarantee is a hoax. I tried to price match at the local store in San Jose California since the online store says that it can only be done at the store. When I arrived at the store, I was told by Larry that they did not price match with the Fry's ad, because the ad was clearance and that fry's did not have it in stock. In fact I told him I just verified with fry's that it was not a clearance and that they did have it in stock. Then the person just walked off. Then I talked with the Store manager Eric. He also claimed to have talked to fry's and
that this time it wasn't that it was on clearance or wasn't in stock, now he claims it was a different model. Now since I ended up buying from fry's. I can guarantee that it was the same model. So the 110% low price guarantee is a complete fraud.

wed. applied for c.card couldn't use it to make a purchase. so much for 0% financing. thur. ordered product with personal c.card. paid additional 22.50 for next day delivery. circuit city doesn't specify which mail carrier it will use, if the fastest delivery available option is chosen you would think they would try to expedite your product a.s.a.p... think, yes therein lies the problem rather than use the u.s. postal service which would have delivered my item Saturday afternoon because they DELIVER ON SATURDAYS . instead circuit city chose to send it via fed ex. which let's see, "with the labor day weekend" will only take oohh....3 DAYS LONGER! thanks for nothing. also product not available for in store pickup or display.

I recently purchased a Maganovox combination VHS and DVD player TV. A week later the color in the upper right corner started fading. I returned it and was given store credit because there were no more in stock at that store. I went to another store and picked up the same TV. When I opened it at home, the TV was severely damaged. When I tried to return it, the store associate was very apologetic, but the store manager accused me of lying and that I had dropped it and was now trying to return it. I understand this to be a judgment call, but I was always taught in retail that you give the customer the benefit of the doubt. SO BEWARE, ALWAYS OPEN THE BOX AND DON'T BUY ONLINE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO PROTECTION.
