Shipped me a much more expensive reel ... a $500 value. A dishonest person would have sold the reel on eBay and used the money to get the original order free and make a profit of almost $150 after expenses. How do you guys stay in business?

Made the mistake of calling in order. Sales associates had very strong accents which I had trouble understanding. Took 3 phone calls to correct the order due to communication difficulties. After finally getting the order correct, I was pleased with the prompt delivery and quality of the products.

I PURCHASED A WATCH FOR MY FATHER'S BIRTHDAY AND ORDERED ON- LINE AND BOATERS WORLD SENT ME THE WRONG ONE. SO I HAD TO PURCHACE A WATCH AT ANOTHER STORE JUST SO IT WOULD NOT BE LATE. I CONTACTED BOATERS WORLDS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TALKED WITH A MAN WHO COULD HARDLY SPEAK ENGLISH!!! I LIVE IN THE U.S.!! HE E-MAILED ME A RETURN LABEL SO I RETURNED THE WRONG WATCH AND REC. AND REFUND FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE BUT NOT THE SHIPPING. THIS IS WHY I'LL NEVER USE BOATERS WORLD .COM EVER AGAIN.

I do much of my shopping on the internet. I have never had as bad an experience as I did with Boaters World. The order takers did not speak english well, and had no knowledge of the product line. I placed my order and was assured there would be no problem after explaining the shipping to them. I received an email every day for more than a week asking me to call and confirm my order. I did so each time and was assured there was no problem until well into the second week, when I was told they couldn't ship my order because of problems with the delivery address I had confirmed at least 9 times. I lost several weeks of boating and had to cancel the order. Overtons treated me right, and I ordered from them, it was cheaper too!

Whilst BoatersWorld advertise that in Busy periods "They will ship articles in three days", It was eight days before I received an e-mail telling me the item that I ordered was out of stock!! However their website continued to advertise the item, for a further seven days. That in my opinion is unethical.

The only good experience was when I contacted management and notified the Better Business Bureau!
I will shop at the Boaters World Stores which are not the same as the offshore ripoff!
They speak lousey English and have no understanding of United states Retail businees ehics or service!
Their management team was exceptional with the return of all purchased items that were not as described in their adds or compatible as also described and having my accounts credited accordingly!

MY INITIAL ORDER WAS FOR TWO CV45 LINECOUNTER REELS. UPON CHECKING MY ORDER, NOTICED THE ORDER WAS FOR A DIFFERENT REEL. A SECOND TELEPHONE CALL CORRECTED THE ORDER. APPARENTLY THERE WAS ONLY ONE REEL IN STOCK AND IT DEFAULTED TO A CV15 REEL. THIS WAS THE FIST TIME DEALING WITH BOATERS WORLD AND I WAS REALLY WORRIED I WOULD GET SCREWED BIG TIME IN THE ASS...THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. The wrong color was sent without asking me if I wanted a substitution. The correct color was listed on the order form, but I ended up with a lime green shirt. I HATE lime green. I won't be ordering from them again.

This item was delivered prior to the expected delivery date, and was received in an outstanding packageing condition. The service I received from Bear Paw products was great and I will order additional items on a required basis.

I ordered a wakeboard that was supposed to be red and black. I emailed customer service to verify that the wakeboard would be red and black as shown. They assured me that it would. When it came, the wakeboard was black and yellow. I emailed customer service to explain the problem and within 24 hours I had a prepaid shipping label so that I could return the product. I did not receive what I expected, but Boater's World quickly took care of the problem. Other than the fact that I received a product that was different than what they had described, I was completely satisfied with customer service.

Inspection and shipping of the rod was sub par. I think that you should have a quality inspector put a sticky label or stamp after they inspect the rod and before it gets shipped. The first shippment the rod was shipped in a tube and the large eyelet got crushed & broken. The second try was better in a cardboard box but the two eyelets were still bent over. I'm sure it came from the distributor that way. The third try was the charm. Inspection & packaging needs to have a serious look at. Pat in customer returns was a very big help and is why I would return to BoaterWorld .com.

I placed my order by phone on a Saturday. I was told that the item was in stock and that the item would be shipped the following Monday. Everything was done as promised. I was able to track the shipment on the internet. The package arrived in good order and all the parts and pieces were in the box. I was able to mount the ladder onto my boat the next Saturday.

THe product we received was damaged, incomplete in parts and had already been sent back to Boater's World once. We know this because there was a tracking invoice stating so in the box with the product.
I was very dissatisfied with the experience and was also upset that I had to pay almost $40.00 shipping to return it when in fact it was their defect. I would not use this merchant again.

I have had good experiences in the past but this one was absolutely poorly handled. It makes me want to not deal on line in the future with Boaters World. I asked for someone to call me several times and never got a response. When I finally got my order, it was wrong. Their Customer Service Dept. should be called the Customer Dissatisfaction Dept.. It is the Black-Eye of the company.

Tried to purchase gift certificate online. Never received. The first time I contacted them they claimed it was sent to wrong email (their error). Promised they would re-issue immediately. Again, never received. I wrote numerous emails and made numerous phone calls to try to rectify this problem. Customer service unacceptable- even sent me email responses written with incorrect English etc. People on phone never corrected errors as stated. After numerous emails to them and phone calls too, the problem was never corrected. My credit card was charged the day the certificate was ordered (December 18, 2006). Finally (after over a month) I filed a dispute of the charge with Amex. Sent copies by fax to Amex of all emails and responses to me from Boaters World. Finally, I THINK I am getting a refund. I will never do business with this company again and I assure you that the person who was to receive this $100.00 gift certificate for Christmas will never do business with them either! I have since purchased gift certificates from West Marine and Bass Pro Shops and am very happy with their service. Both do what they say they will do with no mistakes and no hassle!!!!

Since my first order was not completely filled in December (I ordered 2 jackets only one arrived after three weeks of waiting) I tried to get the order for the remaining jacket ammended. I wanted a different size and color. I had trouble talking to the Fareastern customer service rep. Hard to understand (I guess you get crap when corporate tries to save a buck cutting out American payroll). I finally had to cancel the order and reorder the ite. It has now been a month since the second order was posted and the Item still has not been shipped.

My recent purchase from BoatersWorld was by far the worst on-line shopping experience I've ever had. I receive the incorrect order twice. I spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with unprofessional customer service reps who didn't know the products, and no interest in working to satisfy me as the customer. On average, I spent 40 minutes at a time on the phone with reps and the problems were always left unresolved, if I was not disconnected. The CSRs offered absolutely no resolution and were not even apologetic that my order was incorrect twice. This truly was my worse experience and I can say that I've been purchasing products from BoatersWorld for quite sometime and must now rethink that decision, even if I must pay more through other retailers.

I ordered a gift certificate on line on Dec. 10.It took eleven days to receive it. Only after I said if it could not be sent immediately and requested my order cancelled and the money refunded if I did not receive it promptly, did it arrive via email on Dec. 21. Customer service was contacted daily and each time I was told it would be there within hours. I was told there was no supervior available to speak with regarding my complaint. After it came Dec 21, I then received several emails saying it was sent. Obvisouly customer service did not follow through in sending it "within hours" as repeatedly promised up until Dec. 21. The gift certificate was mailed to the recipient as we had already been to their home for Christmas at which time we were embarrassed to arrive empty handed.

I was contacted by an Indian Customer Service Center which instructed me to call due to a question about a credit card. After calling THREE times long distance from a European cell phone, I was put on hold for more than 10 minutes each time after getting a different voice on the phone who seemed to be genuinely confused. I was so un-nerved by the process I hung up, $20 cell phone charges later and no product ! I will not ever recommend using this web site and will shop elsewhere. The service was totally unacceptable.
