I recently ordered a Canon A530 digital camera with an accessory kit. Due to an error at the time I ordered (not totally their fault), I received a duplicate order. One came in 3 days and the other in 4. When I contacted customer service the folks I talked to were very courteous and efficient. I was able to send the second order back and the correct amount was promptly deducted from my charge card.
I will certainly recommend Beach Camera to my friends!

When ordering the camera I asked customer service if some one had to be at home when camera was delivered and was told no they did not need signature. Once we received email confirmation it clearly states that a signature is required. When we called Beach Camera to have the package rerouted they said they wouldn't do that. So now we have to drive 50 miles to pick up the package at our expense.
Customer service obviously doesn't know what they are talking about.

I bought a Tamron 28-75 lens there and a circular polarizer filter and these are great products. It was shipped fast (but Fedex was very slow, took them 9 or 10 days to deliver the package), however, when I opened the box, the plastic box of the circular polarizer was shattered into pieces. The glass was intact. However, more care packing fragile components would be appreciated.

I ordered a pair of binoculars which the web site stated were in stock. After not receiving a shipping notification after a week, I tried to contact a customer service representative, which was impossible. I wrote them an email requesting the status and explaining the impossibility of contacting a representative on the phone. I received an automated response 24 hours later indicating that some part of my order was back ordered. They didn't even have the decency to advise me that the binoculars were back ordered nor did they seem to care enough to contact me personally after I advised them that their phone service was not functioning. I will never purchase anything from them again.

I order a Olympus FE140 online. The site was easy, and helpful. My order was processed and shipped the same day. I got a email confirming my order within a hour. Within 2 hours I had a email confirming my shipment with the tracking number. I'm very happy with the service and will use them again.

Placed order at 1:30am on Friday, order was shipped at 12:30pm on the same day, I received the order on Wednesday. This is outstanding especially since it was over memorial day weekend and I live in Middleofnowhere Oklahoma. The price was the best I could find and free fast shipping, wow. I felt the box could have stood more packing material but the camera arrived in pristine condition. Thanks, will buy again.

I ordered a Canon lens from Beach Camera. Their site said that the lens was in stock.

One week later, the lens hadn't shipped yet, so I called their customer service line. After a long wait, a gruff man finally explained that the lens was on back-order.

However, at the moment he was telling me this, their web site still showed that they had this lens in stock. That's fraud, and I don't want anything to do with a company that lies just to get people to place orders.

I bought a Canon 17-40mm F/4L USM. Great Experience!! BEACH CAMERA IS A CANON AUTHORIZED DEALER! If you do not see the seal.. they are not!! I'm in the market for the canon EOS 30D and probably will end up buying from them.. No need to call for high pressure sales! (If the manufacturer offers a rebate and the Company you choose to buy from does not offer the rebate-chances are it's GREY MARKET!)

Had an on-line chat with Beach Camera on 5/31 and specifically asked when item would be shipped. Reply from Beach Camera sales said tomorrow - 6/1. As of today, 6/3 product has not shipped according to website. Apparently there is a disconnect with sales and shipping! Extremely disappointed in customer service so far.

Easy web site navigation, best prices on camera and electronics such as navigation devices, and good communication. I bought a subcompact Canon digital camera (Powershot SD450) for my wife on this web site. I plan to make a few other purchases as well from this company, based on my first impression. I found their pricing to be the lowest on two items I shopped: digital cameras and Tom Tom navigation systems. Fast shipping, good email communication, and everything was as advertised, no missing pieces or damage. Ordered an HP R717 camera kit, as an upgrade to an HP R707. The kit included the camera, a camera dock, camera case, 512MB SD card and lens cleaning kit. This was a real bargain compared to purchasing the items separately. I payed $6.95 shipping and got the item via FedEx two days later. Very good experience.
