Batteries and Butter

Placed order on a Sunday, received on Tuesday. Excellent shipping.  Ordered AA, AAA, 9V and button cells.  Terrific prices, half what you would pay at Wal-mart.  For the price I paid I received twice as many or in the case of the 9V batteries, 3 times as many batteries for the same or cheaper Wal-mart price.  And these are Energizer Alkalines not no name dry cell batteries.  Good use by dates, 2010, 2013 and 2015. I'll use these up in 6 months to a year.  As for shipping charges, they state $10.00 for orders under $25, and actual UPS shipping on orders over $25.  My shipping charges were a mear $6.81 !!!!

Haven't had to deal with customer service, but my transaction went perfectly smooth.  I would recommend you give them a try.

Purchased from them twice. First time had to call to inquire about order after one week, was told they just got a large shipment in and were behind. Guess what! Second time exact same thing! To top it off the no-service person refused to give me a tracking number so I still don't know if my order has even shipped. Order 77589

I will not buy again from this site. If you buy a quite large quantity of batteries they will send you almost expiring date cells. When I call customer service about that they told me that the batteries will be good for to 5 years after expiration date!!!
contrary to what Maxell custumer service said: Expiration date means that they are not garantie afer the due date. there are 2 dates: manucfacturing date and expiration date. Also when you call B&B custumer service they have a person with really bad attitude to answer the calls I decided to keep the almost old cells they send because I dont trust them to change them an return them to me. Would you buy from them?

They did not stand behind a defective battery. They said they would have to talk to the supervisor and call me back, whats up with that. They did not call me back. Not impressed.

They do not show you the shipping cost. Beware that there is handling cost too. Their small prises are deceitful. They add handling and shipping (which you don't know until they charge you). So the total cost can be much higher than you expect.

Selection was great, product was in great condition, just as stated. Very helpful flier placed in box. Not bulky or overbearing, but very informative concerning other products the company also carries. I wouldn't have known or thought about buying such products from this company, but probably will now when needed in the future. Over-all, great product for a great price. Cheaper than anywhere else.

Excellent customer service. Since the items were being delivered to a remote location, I had to call the vendor to get a copy of the invoice for my records. My phone call was promptly answered by a human, who understood what I needed and faxed me a copy of the invoice within minutes. When the items were delivered, an itemized and priced invoice was included with the shipment.

our first order was delivered ok with the proper batteries. on our second order, i ordered everedy/ energizer brand batteries , but received a substitute brand, which i never heard of before, and which are listed on the web site at a lower price. (i was charged the everedy price) on another situation, the web site describes the d cell 2-packs which i ordered as "panasonic industrial" batteries. i received panasonic consumer batteries instead. also, i have sent email inquiries on two occaisions regarding their inventory of other types of batteries which we use in significant numbers, but never received any sort of reply whatsoever. to sum it up, their pricing is attractive, when, AND ONLY WHEN, they ship exactly what you ask for. their customer service and commitmment to providing exactly the products that you order leave alot to be desired. they appear to have a tendency to provide inaccurate descriptions of products on their web site, or perhaps even a proclivity towards shipping cheaper procucts as substitutes for items ordered. they do not communicate with customers in any way after the order is received, except to ship it and arrange for some third party to notify you of the shipment status without the ability to respond to their notification. there is no mention of shipping alternate goods, or query as to tha acceptability of substitute products. while i will not completely stop buying from them, i will be very carefull about what i order, and what i actually receive.

The website was easy to use and I found what I was looking for quickly. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no shipping policy or information. I called the customer service line, and the man I spoke to sounded unhappy to be answering the phone and he didn't help me much. We were charged a huge amount for shipping (granted, we bought heavy batteries) but I think it would be more helpful if we had some idea of the shipping charges prior to purchase.

I have purchased from Batteries and Butter - I believe this is my 4th order, they treat me like I am important to them, even though I probably order small orders, they answer any questions or emails I send them. They are VERY HELPFUL, I doubt I will take my business anywhere else but to them for my battery needs. They carry other items for great prices, and we try these out, one or two at a time, but the prices, TO US are very good. I have not found the same items I purchase from them any cheaper anywhere, and I am a serious price shopper. In fact this last order I am not even sure they had what I needed, but were able to fullfill my order in less than a few hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR BATTERIES AND A COMPANY THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. EXTREMELY EASY TO USE WEB SITE.

My only suggestion for improvement is as follows: The final price including shipping could not be given during the transaction process. That was stated on the screen - so I was aware of it. However, that could be improved by including that information in the automated system.
