My boyfriend bought me a dress from Ann Taylor Online that was on clearance. Usually their clothes are extremely expensive, so it was my first time ordering from Ann Taylor. We did an online search and found a coupon code for an extra percent off and free shipping and handling, which was very nice because I never like paying for shipping and handling in the event that the items don't work out (and then you lose on shipping both ways -- to you and shipping it back). I was a bit nervous about ordering a dress (it was on clearance so it was unreturnable) without trying it on first, but we decided to go ahead and try it.

The ordering itself was a breeze. We just entered in the credit card information and got an email confirmation. The order arrived within the stated time-frame, neatly packaged in a box. I had also ordered a pair of shoes with the dress, but ended up returning them because the heels were too much. It worked out because the shoes I ordered were from the Celebrations collection (and not on final clearance), we were able to get free return shipping on them. The return was processed and credited to my boyfriend's credit card. The actual return process took a little longer than expected, but it was credited without any problem.

As for the dress I ordered, it is sitting in the closet, hanging from the (rather cheap) garment bag Ann Taylor Online store sent in the package. While I love the dress, and it fits me very nicely, in hindsight I probably would have saved more even by bidding for a comparable dress on Ebay. Having said that, shopping at Ann Taylor Online was a painless experience. It was quick, efficient, and the function of being able to search for items in your size is extremely convenient.

I have since gone to Ann Taylor and tried on some items, and I've realized that I lucked out as far as the dress fitting. Many of the pants do not fit me, even though I have considered myself to be pretty standard for my size.
