I purchased a humidifier that I was told was in stock. They shipped me a different model of lesser quality. I called and explained that I wanted the product I ordered and if they didn't have it they should refund my money. They told me to ship it back and they would send me the one I ordered. They never did! After several complaints and rude customer service, they say they will refund my money. I will believe it when I see it. After reading other customer reviews, I truly believe this company lies about their "in stock" merchandise and ships out something they believe to be comparable. Do yourself a favor, shop somewhere else!! I wish I did.

The customer service is so rude and mean to me. They hanged up my phone twice or put me on hold forever. I ordered a humidifier from them and they sent me a wrong model. They said to me that the original model is out of stock and they recommend this one to me. If I want to return it I have to fill in a form. I also need to pay for the original shipping charge and mail the unit back to them. I would never buy anything from allergy be gone again. They dont respect their customer at all!

It was easy to place my order online, they did not change the price at the last minute or anything like that. My items arrived on time about 10 days after ordering. Though the original box was torn open, the vacuum was packaged very well and had not sustained any damage from the torn box. Perhaps because it had fallen out of the open box, there was no warranty information included in the vacuum which I'd expected.
I called customer service, my call was answered immediately, and the customer service lady placed a call to the vacuum company and requested they send me new warranty information. I thought they would tell me just to call the vacuum manufacturer, but they were nice and took care of it for me. I received my warranty card in a timely way, and my experience with Customer Service has been positive so far, and my vacuum, though the box was damaged, was obviously new. One concern would be that the store promises a 7-year warranty, while the appliance manual and warranty card mention nothing of the sort. So, it's possible that Allergybegone.com advertises longer warranties than Bosch offers. |

BEWARE!! This place is terrible. I had purchased a Honeywell air purifier and their web site showed it was in stock. Credit card was charged immediately, but after 2 weeks received no item. Called them, and they tell me that the unit is on backorder and will arrive the following week. I cancel the order at that time, and am told I will be refunded in 48 hours. No refund was ever issued. I call AGAIN, and this time I am told that a substitute air purifier was shipped to me. I told them I do not want their substitute and that I want my $$ back. They tell me that they will give me a free air filter and $20.00 off my order. I ask to speak with a manager as I am just interested in getting my refund at this point. They are trying to cancel the replacement order at this point, and are supposed to be crediting my account within 24 hours. We'll see. I will never do business with these people again.

My experience with this company has been very frustrating. I ordered a vacuum cleaner that is listed on their website as being "in stock." When I checked the tracking page several days later I noticed that it hadn't been shipped, so I called the company to find out when to expect it. The customer service rep said the vacuum wasn't actually in stock, and they would not be able to send it until the next week. Fine. The price was good, so I decided to wait. When it STILL hadn't been shipped the NEXT week, I called again and was told it would be shipped on a specific date later THAT week. Several days after THAT shipping date, I called again, and was given still ANOTHER shipping date at the end of THAT week. At that point, I canceled the order. The customer service reps were always very nice and cordial, and during the last call, I was offered a $10 discount for being so patient, but since I have no reason to believe they'll ever actually send the vacuum cleaner, the rebate's not much help. I would avoid this company.

Keep in mind that I have never written into a site like this before, but for "allergybegone" I make an exception.
I wish I had read the cautionary reviews on this site BEFORE I placed my order, since clearly I was not the only one ripped off by this shady outfit. I ordered a DeLonghi dehumidifier from this company b/c they said they would ship out immediately (versus reputable dealers that clearly stated 4-6 wks backordered). I paid extra for "express" service. Over a month passed, and no machine. It took several calls to get them to remove the "express" charge. When a machine finally arrived, it was clearly used or refurbished (not mentioned on the website). After a mere two months of use, the coils were rusted. I had to drag it 60 miles to the closest "authorized DeLonghi repair" shop, who could not even repair it. They sent it to DeLonghi hq, who finally sent me a brand-new BUT LESSER model. It's almost impossible to find this company's street address on their website - it's in Brooklyn. That should warn you that they are not to be trusted. |

I ordered a vacuum cleaner from Allergy Be Gone. Seven days later, I received the wrong machine. I was told that the correct unit would be sent the day I called. Also, they said it would be sent 2 day rush.
When I called again to find out where the unit was, I found out it had not been sent, since they were waiting for the other unit to be returned. Another agent said yesterday that she would ask her supervisor if the correct unit could be shipped next day. The supervisor said that I should either accept the unit by ground (7 more days) or accept a refund. I requested a refund since I could see no reason to give them my business. They were not willing to compensate me in any manner for their mistake. I am still waiting for refund confirmation. My advise...shop elsewhere NOT at Allergy Be Gone! |

Initially, my order of a Bionaire humidifer from allergybegone.com went smoothly.
However, when I received the humidifier, it was an obviously used unit, which did not appear to be in its original packaging and showed heavy signs of use and wear. The vendor claimed (and continues to claim) that they only sell new items. From this point, communication from this vendor became very poor. I had to call three times to finally receive a refund on the order, and was told different things from different reps regarding the refund I requested. Email to them went completely unanswered. I feel that selling used items as new is nothing less than consumer fraud. In addition to epinions, I'll be communicating my experience with this vendor to the NY State Attorney General's Office as well as the Better Business Bureau and Bionaire. |

BEWARE! They claim products are NEW, but we received two humidifiers that were USED, and NOT WORKING PROPERLY. Their website didn't mention that the products were new or used. Questioning the low price, I even phoned their number and got a rep. who promised the items were not refurbished.
One was boxed with Styrofoam -what seemed to be original packaging. But, there were water spots and abrasions on the tank, the unit doesn't work, the refill light comes on which doesn't allow the motor to run. The 2nd box was taped together, Styrofoam didn't exist-bubble wrap in place of it. There were water spots, tank abrasions, fingerprints, dirty fan, rusted motor housing, human hair inside the base the humidity gauge malfunctions goes from 55% - 84% and back w/in minutes. The same number immediately answered prior is now just ringing to no avail. I have also written them emails via the address they advertise on their site with no response. Does this sound like a reputable company? Before they'll accept any return, you have to get a "Return Authorization" from them.....but I am still confused how I get that if they don't call or email you back? |
