Many times when you are looking for a new product, and no one seems to know anything about it, you try to do your research and about your product and before you purchase it and put a lot of money into it.  When I first started and researching the LED televisions, my main problem was trying to understand what to look for when purchasing one of these.  The first thing that I found out was that the smallest that they make is a 40 inch LED TV, they do not make smaller ones.  Ever since we got flooded out of our home, we had to replace the television sets that we had lost.  Since I had not purchased a television set in years, I did not know the first thing about the LED television sets.  That is when we notice that the last thing to do was any research about is the place that you are going to purchase it from.
There are several online sites to choose from when purchasing a LED television set and Abes of maine is one of them.  Other than television sets, Abes of Maine has other products such as digital cameras, surveillance equipment, GPS Devices, Electronic Devices for your cell phone, large appliances and small appliances, pro audio and regular audio equipment, computers, musical instruments, car electronics, DJ Equipment, DVD players, toys and gifts for kids, gift cards and other such items.  Abes of Maine is very versatile when selling different types of things at a lower price.  However, this is not what I am here to tell you about, I am here to tell you about my experience when purchasing a LED television set from this company.
 
Salesmanship

After comparing, the television sets to all of the other web sites we thought that Abes of Maine would be the best possible way to go since they claimed to have free shipping.  However, the biggest problem that we have had with this place of business was the fact that the salesperson Larry would do his so-called spectacular salesperson dance, and dance around you and tell you that you needed a lot of extra stuff when you actually do not.  When, because my wife and I were so naïve when it came to purchasing a television set for the future, we fell for his routine hook line and sinker.  We thought that he was being very helpful at the time but after giving them $10,000 for four TVs we thought that he would’ve been truthful when it came to selling us what we needed.  After explaining to the salesperson Larry what we needed in our home he decided that he would talk us into purchasing approximately $1000 worth of extra stuff that we did not need, he said that it was very essential and for the protection of the new TVs that we needed these products for them to run properly.  However, after receiving the TVs in our home and hooking them up and in their prospective spots we have found that the salesperson lied to us.  Out of all of the extra supplies, that he sold us for these new style TVs there was only one HDMI cable that we could use.  He sold us four extra wall mounts, four HDMI cable’s, and for monstrous surge protectors.  Once we hooked up, the new television sets we found out that we only needed one actual HDMI cable, and all of the other TVs are working fine without all of that other stuff.  That is when he hit us with the fact that there was indeed a shipping and handling fee and it was quite an exorbitant amount.
 
Delivery
 
As for the delivery, the TV sets did get to us within two weeks.  They came to us in a timely fashion and were well protected by the delivery company.  The gentleman that delivered the TVs to us, helped us bring them into the house, open up each individual television sets, and inspected them before he left.  They were very courteous which is more I can say for the salesman Larry of this company.
 
Accuracy
 
The accuracy of this order was perfect; they did give us what we ordered.  However, the problem is, is that they, Larry, talked us into purchasing more than what we needed.  Therefore, when purchasing stuff from this company you will have to stand your ground, and purchase only what you want not what they want to sell you or what they think you need.  Since this little problem has arisen I did more research on the actual company and found out that there have been many complaints, at least 2000, that people need to be aware of, when going through this company.
 
Customer Service

The customer service needs a lot to be desired, and as far as I am concerned, they do not even have a customer service department.  This company only has one person that I know of, and his name is Larry, the manager would not come to the phone to help make us customer happy.  Larry, just tried to replace the stuff that I was trying to return, with other menial products.  Again, Larry tried to sell us with the so-called salesperson song and dance routine.  We would spend over an hour on the phone trying to explain to this salesperson Larry that we did not want any more stuff, we just wanted to return the stuff that we could not use.
 
Overall Satisfaction
If there was a rating of 10 stars for this place of business, I would give it tends stars for the merchandise but a -10 stars for the salesmanship and customer service department.  I tried to tell the salesman Larry that we did not need all of this extra stuff.  However, he persisted on trying to trade this stuff, instead of losing the commission that he would lose by taking this as a return.  He refused to put the manager on to try to rectify the situation and keeping a customer that just gave him $10,000, happy.  We told Larry to get with his manager, and discuss this problem and call us back, but they have yet to honor their return policy.  Our overall satisfaction of the television sets that we purchased through this company was excellent and but the salesman Larry, refuses to get a hold of the manager and take care of a problem.

Conclusion
 
I cannot recommend this place of business or online site, because they will not honor their return policy.  You have to be well aware of this place and their salespeople, especially Larry, he will do a song and dance and trick you into purchasing products that you do not need, Stay Away From This Company And Their Salespeople.  I am sorry that I had to not recommend this company, since the television sets that we got is what we wanted, but I guess it is a buyer beware market when you are purchasing online in you not cannot get a hold of these people in person.  If you will please, just check these other reviews on this website, you will find that there are many other similar complaints against this company.  Do not fall into the same trap that we did, and spend a lot of money and let the salesman Larry talk you into a spending a lot of more money when you do not need to.

Warning; you need to be aware of this company and others like it they will tap dance around you in circles to get you to purchase things that they say you need.  They are supposed to be the experts in this field, but they did not even know that you do not need a cable box to run these TVs adequately.  The only way that you can use the HDMI cables on these particular TVs is if you have a cable box, and in our case, we had only one cable box.  So, please be aware of this company and stay away, take your business elsewhere.

If this company gets back to me and replaces the extra stuff that they talked us into purchasing and honors their return policy, I will come back and update this review, but until then everyone should stay away from this company.
