AJ Madison

The ordering process is excellent. The tracking is non-existent other than to learn that the item was "shipped" even though in reality it was not. Item #1 was ordered on-line and after 2 weeks and numerous calls it was finally delivered by truck. Thinking it was a computer glitch, the 2nd air conditioner was ordered by phone. Again, beyond seeing the item as shipped, no tracking available. I called and called and called...was on hold for hours totalled. Left messages and no calls were returned. Air conditionere was to be delivered fri 7/23 or mon 7/26. Monday I called and item was tracked as having shipped...no news there. I was told it would arrive later that day or perhaps Tues. Tuesday afternoon, I spoke with the driver who said air conditioner was in the back of his truck since Fri. Due to rain he could not make it to destination in time and since then the truck has been in repair shop...he'd have it transferred to another truck today, Wed. July 27th and sometime today it would be delivered. Only time will tell if it's today or next week.

Ordering over the internet was easy. Tracking said I would recieve the order on a Tuesday. It was then delayed to Wednesday. Then on Wednesday, the tracking said I needed to call the shipper to make arrangements for delivery because it was handed over to a sub-contractor. I called the sub-contractor and had the merchandise on Friday. I don't think I should have had to make a call to the shipper or the shipper's sub-contractor. Had I not been following tracking, I would not have been contacted to make delivery arrangements. That was the only part of the transaction that annoyed me. Fortunately, the product works perfectly.

We purchased a Broan range hood and Sharp microwave trim kit from AJ Madison. From order to ship took about three weeks as at least one of the items wasn't in stock (though I believe their site said "in stock" when I ordered). Both items arrived in good shape. Customer service wasn't overly warm when I called to inquire about my order status during week three, but they did answer my questions and tell me when the order would be shipped. I was disappointed that they didn't send an update via email after the order was placed to let us know it would take several weeks. Thankfully, we had built that time into our plans. Their prices were lower than competitors and we took advantage of the Father's Day discount which amounted to the cost of shipping.

I recently, and very easily, purchased an item from AJ Madison based on a description posted by Dealtime that ended up being wrong. Once AJ Madison heard of the mistake and learned that I was unable to use the product and needed to return it they were very cooperative and efficient in resolving the matter. They were also very conscientious in following up with Dealtime to clear up the false advertising that led to my erroneous purchase.

I was very upset by the ordeal, but Irving at AJ Madison was more than helpful and put me at ease with the situation. Pleasant service.

Although the item was not in stock, AJ Madison allowed me to place the order and during the 3 weeks after I put the order, they neither cancelled the order nor given me any notice about the order. I was out of town and immediately called them as soon as I came back to ask about my order, and suddenly realized that they do not have the item...

I ordered the product one month ago and I had to e-mail them to ask where the product was. I was finally informed that they had cancelled the order and that I would not be charged. Thank you so much for the information; albeit one month later and I had to pry it out of you!!! Good thing I wasn't awaiting this trim kit to complete construction!!

The sales guy I spoke to was very knowledgeable. I was about to buy an air conditioner that was too big for the space I had. He saved me money by advising me to get a smaller one and it cools great. I shopped around and they seem to have the lowest prices. I would definitely recommend them to other people.

Yahoo search engine led me right to this merchant; they had by far the best selection of Washing machine Units that I was able to find on-line. Their prices were reasonable and on my unit there was no shipping, which made it an even better buy. The salespeople were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend shopping there

The worst online store ever. I tried an air conditioner online and the man who picked up the phone sounded very rude. I tried to explain what i wanted when he placed me on hold for a couple minutes. Then we started chatting with him again and he seemed to be yelling at someone in the background. I do not know what kind of business these guys are running, but I would not trust these guys whatsoever. You would be foolish to purchase something fom this site. Dont let the site's good look fool you, I would rather go buy from Amazon or another appliance store. I would never do business with a person who does not treat his customers with a little more important, respect and courtesy. Avoid these unprofessional people!!!

I ordered a range and a refrigerator from aj madison, when I called the sales department they gave a discount on both the refrigerator and the shipping. The products came within a week and everything looked perfect. I did have a problem printing one of the rebates but, my sales person faxed it over to me.

Calling to speak to AJ Madison customer service is a very big hassle. You have to leave a message, no matter what time you call, and you get placed on hold forever before you can even do that. The option to bypass the holding time and simply just leave a message does not work. It's difficult to get a call back from them. I had to get a manager from the sales department to pursuade someone to call me back about a damaged shipment. Once I did that, they were very cooperative and helpful.

Their telephone "etiquette' is enough to warn anyone that might shop with this store NOT to do so! After being on hold a very long time, an extremely brusque & uninformative man reluctantly doled out conflicting information on the appliance I wanted to buy & repeatedly said "are you going to order it now ??!!? ". The time was 5:00 p.m. & I asked when they closed. Gruffly, he said 'In about 20 minutes. When I make an $800.00 purchase I think some product information not shown on the website is in order! My final question was about a feature that was integral to the operation of the appliance & the reason I was replacing my existing appliance. He Barked " They ALL have that!" I calmly replied that mine does not & that was the reason for purchasing another. He quite simply HUNG UP on me. I guess they make enough money the New-fashioned way... They don't EARN it!!

Recently ordered a laundry center that was supposedly "in-stock". Apparently it was never ordered until I call to follow-up. The delivery was well past the promised date. When delivered, the product was suppose to be installed, but was instead left in the box in the middle of my living room. On top of that, the tip I left for installation was taken!! The company refused to compensate me for the cost of my installation and was unprofessional. I will never purchase from this company again! Good luck!

We just renovated our kitchen and decided to shop online for our Kitchen Appliances. We wanted to get it from out of state because of tax reasons. So we started researching different options and pricing and we kept on bumping into AJ Madison on all searches. So we sat on the website me and my husband for over an hour going through different options and we had our decisions narrowed down to the tail end. It was amazing to be able to see a full line of Kitchen Appliances with all the necessary specifications in one store. The Selection is very nice, and the presentation is very clear. We ordered online but we just called to confirm that we have the right sku numbers and got the whole shipment delivered in about 4 days from when it shipped out, which was a day after we ordered. I would highly recommend them to all Appliance Shoppers.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD, DELIVERED A DEMO DISHWASHER WITH NO MOTOR IN IT, CAME BACK 3 WEEKS LATER TO PICK IT UP AND REFUSED TO REFUND ME, AVOID THESE GUYS AT ANY COST AND SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE .

Having researched several major appliances prior to purchasing, I decided to go with A J Madison based on their 'white glove next day' delivery. I guess they were just trying to close the sale, because their speedy delivery for which I paid extra turned out to be a week later. Customer service couldn't have cared less. I tried to cancel the order and they refused. When my items eventually arrived, the refrigerator doors were backwards and the delivery men wanted more money. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
