Although
Swim Smooth is an educational DVD aimed particularly at triathletes and swimmers of a novice to intermediate level with moderate swimming knowledge or history in the sport, the
Swim Smooth DVD has been used very effectively by everyone from Learn-to-
Swim all the way up to several elite Olympic and Ironman distance athletes. DVD Disc # 1: The first
Swim Smooth DVD runs for approximately 76 mins and breaks down the freestyle stroke into the following areas: Breathing, Body Roll, Leg Kick, Head Position, Hand Entry, Catch and Pull Through. Each section features 6 or 7 different drills to help you improve your swimming. The DVD is rounded off with an excellent Visualization section with Bill Kirby. The first disc also contains many visual demonstrations on the common mistakes you should look out for with your own stroke. DVD Disc # 2: The second
Swim Smooth DVD is divided into three separate sections: Strength and Flexibility; Open Water Skills and an Extras section which features a great little section on how to write your own
swim program. This disc runs for approximately 45 mins. The Strength and Flexibility section discusses appropriate stretching routines, a core stabilization section and a physiotherapist guided section on how to avoid common swimming injuries. The Open Water Skills section takes the viewer down to beautiful Scarborough Beach in Western Australia and with the aid of World Master's Surf Life Saving Champion, Colin Mustoe, and open water expert Blythe Hartnett, shows you how to adapt your stroke to varying
swim conditions. Swimming in the open water can be far removed from swimming in the pool and you need to know how to be versatile with your stroke to account for this. CD-ROM Disc # 3: We are very pleased to be able to offer every
Swim Smooth DVD Boxset user their very own 8-week or 25 session
training program which they can print off and take down to the pool and follow as though instructed by a coach. NTSC (U.S. and Canada)
