They utilize all-metal planetary gear systems and potent permanent magnet motors for supreme, reliable power for any pull. And with Mile Marker's new MiFi Technology option, you get the most state-of-the-art solid state winch control available. Mile Marker's line of Compact Winches features rugged 12-Volt permanent magnet motors with quick line speeds and low current draw. All include an automatic load holding brake, a generous spool of aircraft-grade cable, and a roller fairlead to keep it all in line. Most models include both an illuminated joystick remote control, as well as an illuminated handlebar-mount remote, so you can run your winch right from the seat of your ATV. You Mile Marker Compact Winch is available with a sealed solenoid or Mile Marker's own MiFi Technology Solid State Control. MiFi Technology incorporates MOSFET drivers and a digital interface to drive the winch. Where solenoids can burn out, fail, or stick, MiFi uses no moving parts and can handle temperatures that would kill any solenoid. MiFi's digital operation allows for variable speed control, improved precision, and even safety measures like auto-shutoffs for hi-temp or lo-battery conditions. Winch is available with the standard sealed solenoid control or with Mile Marker's revolutionary MiFi Technology control system. MiFi Technology centers around MOSFET drivers and digital winch controllers in place of the traditional solenoid. Unlike solenoids that can burn out, corrode, and stick, the MiFi controller uses no moving parts.
